Does anyone know if Lee and Scarlett Cherry were at the Forum concert? I was hoping they would be there and Lee would take some great pics of Adam and the show. The Cherry's are currently in Europe. They had a performance at an event in Austria and then they were at the World Body Painting Festival. If people want gritty they can go listen to someone else! I love Adam. I, and others, just seem to be saying that some of the Queen songs would be more effective if he tweaked aspects of how he delivers them. I guess it all comes down to personal preference. Another thing I would like is for Adam to get more raunchy & overtly sexual with some of these songs (in the true spirit of a rock frontman). We've seen him be that way in some of his own concerts, but he seems to be keeping things "family friendly" for the most part. But again, that's just me... Maybe others don't see it that way. I wanted to add that the guys around me at the two Vegas shows all gave Adam their approval: standing ovations after certain songs, telling me that he was great. Two crazy guys were devil-signing, waving lighters, and head-banging their props to Adam  |

Just got a moment to catch up with today's discussion: the riff! And let me tell you, it is not just a random riff sang by a random singer, IT IS THE ADAM LAMBERT TRADEMARK RIFF! Why it is called THE ADAM LAMBERT TRADEMARK RIFF? Because only ADAM FREAKING LAMBERT could sing the riff like that and he has sung it this style since he graced the stage. Yes, we've heard it thousands of times. And yes, it sometimes predictable. But without that riff, you wouldn't know you are at a Adam Lambert concert, would you? And please don't argue with me that this is not a Adam Lambert concert, this is a Queen + Adam Lambert concert. If Adam was the lead singer, then he had the right to interpret songs his way. Aren't that the reason we all love him and appreciate him? Why now we wanted something gritty in his voice just because we wanted to please some critics or reviewers? No matter what he did or how he interpreted Queen songs, he would get negative reviews. He can't please everybody, so he better please himself first! So I say, Adam, you go and sing your face off with your style and your riff and your swagger. If some people couldn't really appreciate what you offer, then it's their loss. OK, end of my rant. Back to my lurking mode. |

It's the whole damned if he does damned if he doesn't thing. Sing too much like Freddie and he's being a copycat = bad. Add a few runs here and there on songs and he's not respecting the legacy = bad. It's called interpretation. And ok, fair copy if some might not care for the choices made, but there have been very few things ever that the statement "because it has always been done that way" is a valid reason to continue doing so. Ok just as well I'm not online much today. #grumpy # itsthevoiceaufaultOT - I've been meaning to tell you, bridgeymah, that although I've only watched the first two seasons of The Voice AU, your tweets have me laughing my butt off. Will keep following your succinct recaps and save myself a lot of time! |

It sounds like a lot of Atoppers landed really great seats for this tour. So, what is it like seeing Adam in 3D and up close and personal? Was there anything that surprised you? Something that you didn't pick up in all the pictures? Here is my answer to your question. Black trousers which he wore, should be prohibited by law. You will not believe what they look ....Crazy little things were really crazy. It was almost too much all good, I almost burst when I listened to and watched that performance. Look at the videos and you will understand! Brian smiled a lot and the other members of the band seemed very happy and playful. It was pure beatific from beginning to the end. And today I get to experience it all over again! I wonder if I alive after that. |

Maybe I shouldn't post this here? I thought it was funny though. And a word to the wise: Mark Fischel @markfischel 9h Queen show was amazing,although I did have to yell at the old Adam Lambert biddies behind me to stop talking during the Brian May solo. Q3 - delete if you want. OMG, this was the guy right next to me Sunday night! He was really nice and super cool. This woman behind us was talking very loudly throughout most songs, saying embarrassing sexual things about Adam. Eventually this man jumped up, turned around, and got up in her face, telling her to stop it! We both laughed afterward |
