A fan on Twitter tweeted a screenshot of the morning show, Good Day LA. Below a pic of Adam & Brian on stage, the ticker said: Adam Lambert may become full-time member of Queen. Any other sources reporting this? You can see the pic on my Twitter account, @susanneahhh I could see this happening. After UP during one show on the tour, it sounds like Brian says "Do you want to stay?" Adam replies "I want to stay!" Roger and Brian both have solo careers and other projects in addition to Queen. Adam already has the solo success that Freddie always wanted, it would be nice to see him write and record material with Queen. That was said by both of them and it spawned this rumor. I can see it staying a side-by-side project for a while. *** Earlier in this thread I made a post were I totally forgot about Freddie's WWTLF. I am kind of glad for the mistake now because I re-listened to the Wembley 1986 performance. It is wonderful -- but I noticed two things.... 1. Brian's guitar on this now is so far beyond his 1986 performance that it is incredible. 2. Freddie uses a goat vibrato on this song! (Sorry but I had to do it ) You may recall that on of the big complaints from Queen purists about Adam was his use of a goat vibrato in 2011 and 2012. Adam's goat seems to have died now. In any case, the intro to this song is very special. youtu.be/0GNJ1SQpxFI

I love Queen's versions of it....The 1986 was a phenomenal tour for many reasons....Unfortunately Freddie's voice wasn't at it's best for much of the tour. Without knowing for certain, it is pretty clear that Freddie had AIDS at this point and was suffering. This is why at the end of the shows, for the first time he didn't say "see ya next time!" or whatever. It was far more a "God bless - we love ya" - much more final...and like above he told the crowd that Queen would be together til they fucking well died.
The band didn't know at this point but Freddie almost definitely did...or at least had very strong suspicions. Freddie's voice was very affected during 1985-1986 and the tour made it worse. Freddie was told by his doctors not to sing at Live Aid...
so he puts on what is considered one of the greatest live performances in history.
SO I wish I could have seen an earlier Freddie doing WWTLF live in concert. Or a Freddie that wasn't on tour. In the studio he could give his all knowing he could rest in between.

Starting tomorrow is what looks like the toughest part of the tour - 5 performances in 7 days with only 2 days off for recovery with the MSG show at the end of the 7 days. #yikes #holdtheacrobatics
Can't remember if GNT had anything even remotely similar in terms of shows stacked together... I don't think I'll be alone in holding my breath until this bit is over. If Adam can navigate this bit without wear and tear on his voice then the rest should be a snap!

AND with regards to QAL recording together, I hope it does happen but it will definitely be Q+AL. Talon, you, Q3 and others on this forum are so knowledgable on all things Queen that I hope you won't mind a silly question: if they DO collaborate on new music somewhere down the road, does it HAVE to be Q+AL? If it's new music, is it really part of the Queen music book? What if it was called Brian+Roger+Adam....BRA for short, since we lurve our acronyms I just wonder if creating new music under the Queen banner will just pour more fuel on the purists' bonfire. And from a purely financial viewpoint, if "Queen" is in there anywhere, and any of their new music takes off, doesn't that also mean that John Deacon will have to schedule a few more bank deposit runs? I am not angsting over this but just curious to hear your opinion. Thanks in advance!
