My first concert was in Vancouver and I really enjoyed all parts of the concert--I actually recorded part of Brian May's guitar solo on my phone (it was the only thing I recorded). It was amazing in person! I have been a Queen fan for so long, that I was unexpectedly emotional seeing Brian and Roger in person! I absolutely adore Adam, so I knew how I would feel watching him sing, but seeing Queen after being a fan for 30 years was something else, and I think the solo parts each of them had were great. The drum battle was cool (Rufus is really good) and I loved Neil's solo as well (I've always had a weak spot for bass players). I think the concert is great as is--partly because the uptempo sections are so in your face powerful that you really need a little break. The construction of the song set overall is really good. As I mentioned before, maybe that long section is also to give Adam a nice long break for his voice, in keeping with Brian and Roger saying that they would be taking good care of Adam and his voice..

www.blabbermouth.net/news/brian-may-says-adam-lambert-finds-his-own-way-with-the-queen-songs/BRIAN MAY Says ADAM LAMBERT 'Finds His Own Way' With The QUEEN SongsJuly 16, 2014 QUEEN last month returned to North America for a 24-date arena tour with "American Idol" finalist Adam Lambert once again fronting the band. QUEEN members Brian May and Roger Taylor admit that their current collaboration with Lambert is a better fit than their previous involvement with legendary rock singer Paul Rodgers. "He's sensational," Taylor tells Oakland Press. "I describe him as almost a camp Elvis [Presley]. He has this unbelievable range, 'cause [late QUEEN singer] Freddie [Mercury] had a great range. Adam can really cover it. He's an extraordinary singer and a real talent. I feel he fits into our sort of theatricality. It was very comfortable." May adds: "One of the greatest things about Adam is that he's never an imitator. He finds his own way with the songs, and that's what we all want. We want our music to be alive and dangerous and still open to change. Freddie in particular would hate to have things reproduced the way they were. We take it to different places — that's exciting, and I don't think we'd be doing it if we didn't think we were actually going into new territory." May also defended QUEEN against critics who don't think the band should ever play again because Freddie is no longer alive to front the group. "People want to hear QUEEN music," the guitarist explains. "They want to hear it done great, and they want to have Roger and I play and we love to play. Neither Roger or I are desperate to go out and do what we did, because we did it. It's not like we're always looking for someone to sing for us. Organically, this happened with Adam. We just felt good about it, and we wouldn't be here if we didn't feel it was right and natural. So having this opportunity is great for me. We're still alive, thank God, and we're still healthy enough to go out and tread the boards one more time." QUEEN's North American tour with Lambert winds down on July 28 at Toronto, Ontario's Air Canada Centre. The threesome first shared the stage during "American Idol" in May 2009 for a performance of "We Are The Champions". They teamed up again in 2011 at the MTV European Music Awards in Belfast, Ireland for an electrifying eight-minute finale of "The Show Must Go On", "We Will Rock You" and "We Are The Champions" and in the summer of 2012, Lambert performed a series of shows with QUEEN across Europe as well as dates in Russia, Ukraine and Poland. They also performed three sold-out gigs at London’s Hammersmith Apollo. In 2008, May and Taylor, who had been touring with Rodgers as QUEEN + PAUL RODGERS, released the chart bomb, "The Cosmos Rocks", before calling it a day as a trio and a recording entity — despite a string of globally sold-out concerts. </img> Hello lovely lady . After I read some reviews, I now think, "How is aleks going to classify that one?" We are so spoilt in this fandom by what so many contribute freely. THAT video - gimme some French-Canadian love - he cracks me up. I'm so glad he is doing a call/response where he owns it and is just dancing on the stage. The joy on his face melts me away .... If they want to keep middle section intact it shouldn't be longer than 15min including Brian's guitar solo. Of course I have only seen this through live streams and youtube. I have to disagree. Despite this yahoo's opinion...I think the middle section is just the right length. It's a real call out to the old school purist Queen fans in a way. It's one of my favorite parts of the concert, not because Adam is in any way bad but it's kind of like we are sharing Queen with Adam through most of it, but this is a nice little just Queen moment if that makes sense. I think 3 songs is good and then Brian's guitar solo is nice as well. Probably works better in person than on vid to be honest...BUT with that being said, I say keep the middle section as it is! The Brian/Roger sections are already shorter than during QPR days. In addition Roger would have had one or two more songs. Yes, it does. Perfect sense. Brian and Roger seem to have read the diversity of the audience pretty well. Maybe doing slightly less than the QPR tour is age-related, just lessening the load a little bit - they get a pretty good workout each night.

Eeek! Diehard who had perhaps too high expectations? Maybe he expected a live representation of the albums and not an actual "live" show?! Does it sound like he's ever seen Queen live before? I would like Talon's take on this man's criticisms of Brian and Roger. Thank you, Talon! OFC, Toronto was "off" in a few spots, Under Pressure, for example. And I have "heard" from unnamed sources, it was not the best audience. So............. IDK, IDK!

Like this concert it's song after song without almost no pauses that's why energy levels were so high. Brian's guitar solo is not really a part of the other section. It is after Adam comes out and sings 3 songs with them. The "Love of my life" section is 28 mins. I timed it during the Montreal stream. His guitar solo, about 15 mins, is later in the show, after Adam sings "Under Pressure," 'Love Kills" and 'Who Wants to Live Forever." I love his guitar solo but if you are not seeing the laser show also, floor people, maybe it is too long for some? Been to 3 shows and every audience gave Brian a standing ovation with thunderous applause! I am NOT a "guitar hero" person and i still loved it!

Sorry people!
Stupid question, but since I have had huge problems with my credit card here in America, I need to make sure this thing before I can see that the ATM has swallowed my (only) card. My card is a debit / credit, whether it is possible to withdraw money from the debit account?
Has this some connection to Adam: yes the whole damn trip is only because of Adam. Why do not I ask the hotel personnel issues: Should carry my computer down so that I can be tapped issues using the google.

I have heard, though, that EU pin codes are not 4 digits. If that is true, there may be a problem? Pretty sure it has to be 4 digits here.

I'm going to try, let's see how to get through this. I hope that I can translate all words what reads in Atm's screen.

And I have "heard" from unnamed sources, it was not the best audience. So............. IDK, IDK! That was definitely an unusual perspective from a die-hard Queen fan. But the thing is, at least at the show I went to, Brian May was THE STAR. And when you are the star you can do what you want because people want to see you do your stuff.* I know nothing about guitar playing. For me, his guitar solo was too long. It was too much of the same thing for too much time. But only because I didn’t appreciate what I was seeing and hearing. And I’ve realized I prefer rhythm and beat to searing crescendos and wailing (at least where guitars are concerned) so I actually enjoyed Spikes bass solo more. But so what! Most of the crowd was (I believe) mesmerized by Brian, and properly worshipful of what he was doing. Because that’s what they were there for. *Don’t worry, Adam was the STAR too. But he was like a bright new discovery that everyone was excited about, whereas Brian was like the returning hero. Different kinds of stars.
