I have listened to this several times even before this post...and never picked up on the final consonant.  Gettin' fired up in the church of Glam rock...yah I think it is just the end of a very long extended "LOOVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVuh"! |

Haven't spoken to him about it, but I am fairly certain that Dr. Brian was using the pre-1974 million million definition of a billion when he said that about Adam. Trying to get my my mind around how much a billion is. And if I'm counting my fingers and toes correctly (not very good at math *understatement*), then by the pre 1974 definition of a billion, 1,000,000,000,000, and presuming that ~106, 000,000,000 have been born on earth (source: www.scientificamerican.com/article/fact-or-fiction-living-outnumber-dead/), we can posit that Adam is better than all the people who have ever been born on earth, AND better than *math fails me here* (insert really big number here) who have not yet been born. I could be wrong.   OR, alternate explanation, approximately how long it feels like that Adam holds the STL note.  |
