It isn't really all that surprising that they have proceeded to Perth with alacrity. The Aussie weather (11-13 Celsius at the moment) is much more suited to a Brit than the hot and humid Tokyo. They are probably more focussed on resting and getting up-to-speed with the Pacific time zone, which is more and more of a priority as you get older. I bet Roger and Brian have been to Japan so many times in their life that they aren't as excited about it as casual travellers would be. (Adam and Rufus might not agree LOL)
Who knows what mysteries the night sky might hold for Brian if he takes a late night drive a couple of hours out of Perth. The wonders of the world are not necessarily written in neon.

The all-time Adam Idol performance list looks so good right now that I wouldn't remove anything from it, but Born to be Wild is still one of Adam's best Idol performances imho. It gets lost in the shuffle because Simon compared it to Rocky Horror and spent most of his critique saying that it didn't hold a candle to Mad World. Just wanted to put that out there.

THE JAPAN TIMES Old and new mingle sweetly at Summer SonicBY PATRICK ST. MICHELAfter Queen finished “Another One Bites The Dust” — 10 minutes before 8 p.m. on the Sunday of this year’s Summer Sonic in Chiba — hundreds of fans darted for the exits of QVC Marine Field Stadium. Security guards and staff with megaphones tried to direct them as some dashed to the left for Kraftwerk, and others hustled right for the Pixies. It felt like the kind of stealth concert planning that might have happened in 1987 instead of 2014, as the biggest crowds at the 15th edition of the music festival flocked to the older acts. The two-day event, held simultaneously in Chiba (Tokyo) and Osaka, placed an emphasis on long-running and reunited groups this year. No act better summed up what Summer Sonic 2014 aimed for than Queen + Adam Lambert — a veteran act with a new twist. Forty-four years since forming, only two original members (Brian May and Roger Taylor) chug along under the Queen name. Nobody in the stadium seemed concerned about that, though, they danced and sang along to classics like “Under Pressure” and “Radio Gaga.” Lambert, best known as runner-up from the 2009 edition of “American Idol,” was no Freddie Mercury, but impressed nonetheless. “What do you think of the new man?” guitarist May asked, to loud cheers. Quoting myself because I just realized what the article said in the beginning.. so does that mean after 4 songs into the concert, people were going off to see the other acts?? :-/ Hundreds??! Did anyone who was there notice this happening? I hope it wasn't so obvious to Adam or the band if that's true.

10: Beth - Kiss 9: Titanium - Adam Lambert duet 8: We Are the Champions — Queen 7: Feelin’ Good — Nina Simone 6: Tracks of My Tears - Smokey Robinson 5: Whole Lotta Love - Led Zeppelin 4: Whataya Want from Me - Adam Lambert 3: A Change is Gonna Come - Sam Cooke 2: Mad World — Tears for Fears 1: Ring of Fire — Johnny Cash I'm putting Tracks of My Tears ahead of Feelin Good because that performance was the first where he stripped it back and his voice was beautiful, and it had bonus Smokey Robinson standing ovation. I feel like the performance of Feelin Good is overshadowed by the studio version. I prefer rewatching Feelin Good for the intro bit with Jamie Foxx when he says "You don't care about who I am at all". Still makes me laugh.

If I have ever seen a "dressed for traveling outfit", that is it! COMFY!! I am still so surprised they went to Perth so early. Thinking they probably have some PR appearances scheduled, maybe? IDK! All my predictions are wrong anyway!
