Mys*&@^#r, glad to oblige. I'm changing Foofy's list by deleting WATC. That was not a performance I go back to. Yes, it was great that he & KRIS were singing with Queen, but Born to Be Wild was just . . . WILD. (This is like the game of telephone. We are going to have completely different lists throughout the day.) 10: Beth - Kiss 9: Titanium - Adam Lambert duet 8: Born to Be Wild7: Feelin’ Good — Nina Simone 6: Tracks of My Tears - Smokey Robinson 5: Whole Lotta Love - Led Zeppelin 4: Whataya Want from Me - Adam Lambert 3: A Change is Gonna Come - Sam Cooke 2: Mad World — Tears for Fears 1: Ring of Fire — Johnny Cash Read more: adamtopia.com/thread/2521/best-adam-idol-performances-more?page=4#ixzz3AqJLZcVN

I have to vote to put Black or White back on the list, because it was what stopped me in my channel-flipping tracks and said "WHAT WAS THAT!!!!"
I clicked back and I was a goner. I especially love the smirk during, "my bruthuh."
Personally, I was never of fan of Ring of Fire, although I admired the hell out of his implied flip off to the genre and Mr. Closet Case Mentor Guy.
And WWL was the sexiest thing I've ever seen on AI, before or since.

Wonder what on earth they will do in Perth for 3 days... Really Is a pretty sleepy place - very pretty but not much of a party town. Well it is now!!! A perfect quiet place to work on a collaborative song with Bri

I agree that BoW should be there and I am not a fan of Adam duets with anyone, so I am gladly replacing Titanium with BoW. BoW was (as I am sure you remember) performed in the aftermath of Bill O'Reilly nonsense and carried that extra meaning for Adam. And who can forget him fighting tears.... to this day it breaks my heart ... 10: Beth - Kiss 9: Black Or White - MJ8: Born to Be Wild 7: Feelin’ Good — Nina Simone 6: Tracks of My Tears - Smokey Robinson 5: Whole Lotta Love - Led Zeppelin 4: Whataya Want from Me - Adam Lambert 3: A Change is Gonna Come - Sam Cooke 2: Mad World — Tears for Fears 1: Ring of Fire — Johnny Cash I like this list, but I would love to move MW waaaay back (not a fan here) and have WLL, ACIGC and FG ahead of it. I would also take TOMT off and replace it with Play That Funky Music ( and the first band acknowledgement on the AI stage!)

Emm... my list:
10. Beth 9. Track of My Tears 8. If I Can't Have You 7. Play that Funky Music 6. Feelin' Good 5. Whole lotta Love 4. A Change is Gonna Come 3. Born to Be Wild (the BEST G5 I've ever heard sung) 2. Mad World 1. Ring of Fire
----------- Kraftwerk is beyond GREAT. If you like electron music they are like the god. I would like to see them too. Putting them and QAL in the same time slot was a bad bad bad idea.

Am changing Black or white - great song and performance, but even Adam conceded it was not one of his best vocals. Agree with Nic42 about the Beth performance. 10: Beth - Kiss9: Aftermath (acoustic version) - Adam Lambert 8: Tracks of My Tears — Smokey Robinson 7: We Are the Champions — Queen 6: A Change is Gonna Come - Sam Cooke 5: Feelin’ Good — Nina Simone 4: Whole Lotta Love - Led Zeppelin 3: Whataya Want from Me - Adam Lambert 2: Mad World — Tears for Fears 1: Ring of Fire — Johnny Cash Cassie, I remember reading a critique by Masterclass Lady (?) saying that Adam was pushing his voice way too hard in that performance of Aftermath (... in the Aftermath ...) and was 'shouting' with pretty poor technique. Do you agree? I had forgotten how that performance sounded. Just went back and watched. Kinda painful. He is significantly off pitch at the very beginning, but never completely fixes it throughout the song. He is slightly flat on a lot of his notes. He does sound pushed on some of his upper notes. He can do that using good technique to add a grit to his voice. I am not sure that is what he is doing here. It sorta sounds like he is not placing the tone correctly in the front of his face, so it may be poor technique. Or perhaps he was under the weather and lacking energy throughout which would explain both the pitch and the push problems. Who knows. Not a very good performance, from a voice perspective. Sorry.
