Yes, I want A3 to do better than Trespassing - I want Grammies and most importantly, I WANT A TOUR. Yes . I want everything for A3 . I want it to have better promo than Trespassing did . I want more music videos . I want more commercial success and popularity . I want A3 to be the hottest album of 2015 . I want multiple Grammy's , VMA's , EMA's , AMA's . I want Adam and A3 to be EVERYWHERE . I want a worldwide sold out tour . I want a DVD/3D movie of the tour like Katy Perry did . I just want everything for A3 . And I am really optimistic for A3 . Specially since Adam has a new label . Oh and MAX MARTIN . Yes he is like the Jeezuz of smash hits in Pop music you can't deny that . I can't wait to hear the songs !! Like , really , Adam's most successful songs to date , WWFM and IIHY have Max as a producer/writer/whatever . Now can I get a fucking AMEN ?? Oh , and after the tour is over , he can get around with Queen once again . Maybe a collab album of Queenbert with new songs !! And a tour . They can tour Asia this time

Well we could argue semantics.... But Trespassing had a great first week...no doubt. It was an accomplishment to debut #1. It did sink pretty quickly after that with no hit singles, so either way you slice it, it wasn't a big selling album. I loved Van Halen 3. With Gary Cherone on vocals. It flopped to kingdom come because Van Halen fans couldn't accept a new singer (SEE! I *KNOW* how you all feel...I've been on the other side! LOL) I remember back in the day I felt the need to defend it. The single hit #1 on the Rock chart...but overall I had to admit the album basically flopped. Hell The Cosmos Rocks flopped! No problem admitting it. Either way, I think it's safe to say Adam (and everyone here...me included) would like to see a far more successful A3, right? no hit singles is a bit of a mischaracterization of the Trespassing era IMO. BTIKM reached #18 on the HOT AC chart and NCOE reached #35. They were by no means smashes but they both peaked within the top 40 on the format I would say they were most aimed at. Neither were great pop songs and in fact most would argue they were the two weakest songs on the album and therefore the worst choices for the singles but that is what RCA choose and that is what we ended up with. Also, the album sold outside the U.S. and while it didn't put up the numbers that FYE did it did respectably well, charting in the top 5 in multiple countries if memory serves me correctly. I do agree that Trespassing underperformed and I would even go so far as to say it was a disappointment in the context of sales however, I don't measure the success of an album on how much it sells but rather on how much I liked it and how much I still play it and I still play Trespassing frequently. I am not sure what Van Halen 3 or the Cosmo Rocks has to do with the discussion currently happening? Wouldn't that be better saved for when and if Adam is included on an album with Queen since Adam hasn't released an album as anything other than a solo artist and both are considered reasonably successful within the industry standards? Of course more success is always nice but will that automatically mean the music is better? I hear shit music on the radio all the time that is hugely successful, that doesn't mean that is what I want Adam putting out. I would rather Adam have less success doing what he loves and making the music that HE wants to make than to be a platinum selling Justin Beiber/One Direction flash in the pan artist churning out craptastic music just to get on the radio.

World wide Trespassing may have sold over 325,000 and while that's not great,IMHO,with today's music record sales It's respectable.. Coming in as #1 on Billboard 200 is worth a great deal& Also Rolling Stone mag. gave the album 4 out of 5 stars...

I wrote this in 2012 after first QAL and I will repeat it now - IMHO first of all there is need for a better backing band for Adam. Because the difference is just painfull to watch and hear and you can't really to evolve and iprove when you stick to mediocrity out of loyalty. And I really appreciate his loyalty. .....my bolding ^

I'm sure someone has already addressed this as I am just starting the thread now, but the meme that Trespassing didn't sell after the first week is not correct. Did it have the numbers of, or stay on the BB 200 charts as long as FYE? No. But it sold approx. 78,000 copies it's first week and ended up at 185,000 at years end. Well within BB's top 200 selling albums of the year. That is out of tens of thousands of albums released that year. We also have year end world wide sales numbers of 310,000 at year end. Not bad numbers for an album that many people have called a flop. Thank you! I think people forget how hard it is to sell albums these days. Numbers that would have looked anemic in 1985 are perfectly reasonable in 2014. Stayed in BB 200 for 10 weeks. Was #177 at the end of the year. Probably at least 350K worldwide! 1) 77K #1 2) 33K #12 3) 12K #24\ 4) 8K #54 5) 7K #68 6) 5K #107 7) 4K #115 8) 3K #165 9) 3K #171 10) 3K #186 155K at 10 weeks. Dropped off the 200 after 10 weeks. Not to mention critically acclaimed by all but 2 reviewers! 192K as of beginning of 2014! US only

On my phone so I can't do as long a response as I wanted to bu just wanted to say I pointed out VH3 and QPR as discs that probably sold similar amounts to Trespassing.and the singles charted on different charts but overall were considered flops which is what I consider trespassing. That's all. I do want Adam to do bieber or anything craptastic but he still deserves better material. When he sings great material he shines!
