Have a wonderful vacation, Betty!! I hope you'll have a chance to eat in some fabulous restaurants, and enjoy desserts as luscious as the ones you serve us every day!!  Betty, have a great vacation! We already know some very nice café's with delicious cake on the Isle of Sylt from our former holidays there!  Betty, it sound like you're going to have a fantastic time. There are 1000s upon 1000s of VIPs! $295-495 for the NA venues! But, it actually doesn't matter if it goes into ticket price or merchandise (which is the method I heard they are using) as long as Queen and Adam get the $$$$$!! True on the end money part! I was just looking at the few numbers that have come in and based on that, it does not seem like the merchandise component of the tickets is included. Someone who knows how it is usually done for VIP tickets, but has no knowledge of the QAL method told me, they count the VIP tickets as whatever the highest non VIP ticket was. For example, at The Forum, the highest non VIP ticket was $172. Anything over that , getsput into merchandise. So, for the $395 VIP (mine  ) that ticket was counted as a $172 ticket, with the rest of $223, going into merchandise. However, on those Brisbane box scores, it appears to be the only venue so far that counted the complete VIP price in tickets because it has the highest priced ticket as $1166 & that has to be a VIP price! It also means, by my estimate that the tour is getting, just from those VIPs about 6 million dollars!  |

This is OT but I just saw an article where Alison Porter, Adam's good friend, talks about her alcohol addiction. According to the article she is celebrating 7 years of sobriety. Good for Alison for being brave enough to share her struggles. I'm sure that her disclosure will help some people with similar illnesses know that there is help and that life can get better. Alisan Porter's addiction is hinted at in "Aftermath", which she helped to write. She sang the song with Adam at the next to last GNT concert. They have not disclosed what they paid for the distribution of the album. The $100 million dollar figure is an estimate of the value of the deal involving the commercial made with the single "The Miracle" which will be used in a 30 day worldwide marketing push for the iphone 6. |
