True on the end money part! I was just looking at the few numbers that have come in and based on that, it does not seem like the merchandise component of the tickets is included. Someone who knows how it is usually done for VIP tickets, but has no knowledge of the QAL method told me, they count the VIP tickets as whatever the highest non VIP ticket was. For example, at The Forum, the highest non VIP ticket was $172. Anything over that , getsput into merchandise. So, for the $395 VIP (mine ) that ticket was counted as a $172 ticket, with the rest of $223, going into merchandise. However, on those Brisbane box scores, it appears to be the only venue so far that counted the complete VIP price in tickets because it has the highest priced ticket as $1166 & that has to be a VIP price! It also means, by my estimate that the tour is getting, just from those VIPs about 6 million dollars! So were are really saying the same thing, the reported sales numbers are only the face value of the tickets. the AU number is a bit of a puzzle, from what I remember the non-VIP tickets were in the 150-170 US$ range for the most part, which falls in line with the $149 US$ average - $165 AU$ average. I wonder if the $1100 number is just that hand full of seats on the stage. Maybe some of our Aussie peeps will know. The nine shows reported thus far have $9.7M in ticket sales. CHACHING!!!!!!!

You can at least hide the download: www.usatoday.com/story/tech/personal/2014/09/11/itunes-u2-album/15439229/The album is available on users' iTunes accounts via iCloud. After checking on my own iPhone, I noticed the album displays a cloud icon. That means it's connected to your account but isn't downloaded to your device. The user still has to tap that cloud icon to download the album. But, if you have the auto downloads feature turned on, that means you now have U2's album on your device. If you don't want that album in your library, you can delete the downloads but they still appear in your library with that cloud icon nearby. Fortunately, you can hide them. Here's how: start by opening up iTunes on a computer (not elegant, I know). Head over to the album, right click on it, then hit delete. This should hide it from your iTunes in the Cloud options. Users can also go to the Purchased link to view your iTunes purchases. Scroll all the way down until you get to U2. When you place the mouse over the album, you'll notice an X button. Clicking that hides the album from your library, something I confirmed on my phone right after clicking the X. Users can also go into their device Settings, click iTunes & App Store and turn off "Show All Music." However, that will affect all songs in your library that haven't been downloaded, not just U2's latest album.

Someone here, from OZ said their VIPS were priced much higher than the NA ones. I seem to remember $820! And that is not the stage seats! The $1166 is definitely weird!

Yes, tickets and packages were definitely more expensive there. I noticed in some of the postings that some of the VIPs is AU included a preshow party w/bar and snacks in addition to the other merch. I don't recall that in the NA packages.
