Someone who knows how it is usually done for VIP tickets, but has no knowledge of the QAL method told me, they count the VIP tickets as whatever the highest non VIP ticket was. For example, at The Forum, the highest non VIP ticket was $172. Anything over that , getsput into merchandise. So, for the $395 VIP (mine ) that ticket was counted as a $172 ticket, with the rest of $223, going into merchandise. However, on those Brisbane box scores, it appears to be the only venue so far that counted the complete VIP price in tickets because it has the highest priced ticket as $1166 & that has to be a VIP price! It also means, by my estimate that the tour is getting, just from those VIPs about 6 million dollars! So were are really saying the same thing, the reported sales numbers are only the face value of the tickets. the AU number is a bit of a puzzle, from what I remember the non-VIP tickets were in the 150-170 US$ range for the most part, which falls in line with the $149 US$ average - $165 AU$ average. I wonder if the $1100 number is just that hand full of seats on the stage. Maybe some of our Aussie peeps will know. The nine shows reported thus far have $9.7M in ticket sales. CHACHING!!!!!!! I don't know where the average US ticket price of $149 and average Aussie ticket price of $165 is coming from, but this is not what the Billboard numbers give. If you add up all of the reported billboard sales in North America and divide by the billboard number sold, the average North America ticket price was $95. Even excluding the outliers, i.e., the 2 Las Vegas shows which averaged $165 and the Atlantic City show which averaged $71, the average North American ticket price is $92. Or dropping the Montreal show which averaged $85, the U.S. shows would still only overage $97. And the average of the 2 Australian show that have been reported is $151, not $165. If the $149 US and $165 Aussie average numbers come from that spreadsheet someone made, the average (non-VIP) ticket prices were grossly overestimated.

Someone here, from OZ said their VIPS were priced much higher than the NA ones. I seem to remember $820! And that is not the stage seats! The $1166 is definitely weird! The $1166 was for the on-stage seats. The other ticket costs were: VIP # 1: ‘I WANT IT ALL’ VIP EXPERIENCE : $749.90 ticket VIP # 2: ‘WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS’ VIP EXPERIENCE: $599.90 (I had this ticket category - with insurance and ticket fee, it cost $620) VIP # 3: ‘DON’T STOP ME NOW’ VIP EXPERIENCE: $499.90 VIP #4 PREMIUM FAN PACKAGE: $379.90 VIP #5 FAN PACKAGE: $299.90 Price category 2 seats: $159.90 Price category 3 seats: $99.90

The $149/$165 was converting the Brisbane avg ticket price of $149 as reported in US dollars to Australian dollars. We were discussing only the Brisbane shows report at that point. The conversion rate is about 1.10 at the moment.

Thanks Nikki - that pretty much confirms exactly what mys*&@^#r50 and I discussed. Base ticket price for this show was a little less that I thought but I expect they varied by venue just as they did in NA. The reported numbers do not include any of the value added perks only the face value of the tickets, as one would expect.

Wow!! Our top, non stage ticket was $495 in the US! OFC, who am I kidding! I would have paid the $749! I wanted my best seats to be at The Forum, my home show and my first show! Was prepared to go 2K on Stub Hub, but thanks to the fan club presale, didn't have to!
