Come on - just give in gracefully now! And I always wanted the chance to chat with you. What better opportunity than queuing outside the 02 in the snow for 24 hours, plotting how to get in front of the Queen fan army - which in the UK is overwhelmingly male, large and scaringly determined.... If we survive, it'll be fun! Can I join you? My brain is telling me yes, my wallet is telling me slow down, but that has never stopped me before, LOL. You brought up a good point. I never thought about it but Queen's older fanbase is largely male. I just never considered it before. I wonder why that is. SophieB! If you're trying to encourage me to come over......well, all that you mentioned is why I'm hesitating. lol. As much as I would love to chat and dance with you some more.....I don't think I'm 24 hr queuing material, plus there's the snow thing. We've been spoiled with those VIP close up seats over here. I'm afraid the floor might be all standing GA and you're right, there are many TALL male Queen fans. I'm gonna have to ponder it all. Lelemaple......you'd love SophieB! As we say down here, she's both a hoot and a holler! Plus she's a sweetheart, and gorgeous with a killer smile!

I never thought about it but Queen's older fanbase is largely male. I just never considered it before. I wonder why that is. I believe it is mostly related to the genre -- in the 1970's hard rock and prog rock music had mostly male fans. I only attended Queen concerts in the US and Canada in the 1970's but my recollection is the audiences were mostly guys or women with guys where the guys were the fans. My "guess" is that the audiences were 70% male. When they shifted to pop and funk-based music (a hits band), there were more female fans. [My personal Queen concert history ends in 1982 until 2014. Although I have seen both Roger and Brian as solo artists.] ** I met many "older" [my vintage] audience members who were at the concert for Queen in London and across North America -- they were all men. I met many "older" [my vintage] audience members who were at the concert for Adam in London and across North America -- they were mostly women but about 30% men. I was once a massive Queen [never missed a tour] fan -- but I skipped Q+PR. I attended these concert because of Adam. I am not sure there is any other frontman/frontwoman who could have been there who would have inspired me to attend a Queen concert in 2014. ** And yes, I met younger Queen fans who never saw them live before -- but that is a different thing. Those fans were both male and female are come from a very different time than 1974. ** I have seen the same thing at other heavy metal and hard rock concerts over the past 40 years -- mostly men. Lady Gaga, Katy Perry -- more women, lots of young women. Michael Buble, Bruno Mars -- almost all women. ** JMHO Adam's audience is one of the most diverse I have ever seen. I am beyond figuring out who an Adam fan is. I could probably profile a "Glambert" as female, but most fans do not describe themselves as Glamberts. [And yes, I am a researcher at my core and I have interviewed many, many Adam fans at concerts. Next tour, I may actually do a formal study.]

I am trying so hard. If I cannot get it to work, can you make me a DVD???? LOL.....No. I can't burn blurays and this needs to be seen in 1080! Keep trying. I had to watch it back on my VLC player. My normal PowerDVD player wouldn't play the sound. It downloaded for me in about 5 minutes, but I have fast internet (on some days...100 mbps) It took Terra 30 minutes to DL and usually her speed in Singapore is uber fast. Maybe so many people are DLing it is slowing it down. It will be on youtube I imagine, but this is better! The Japanese fan who made this available told me she would try and do any future airings of more songs. She said since she pays for the channel in Japan, the quality was very good. Patience is a virtue I obviously lack. It just was taking a very long time to download. I have it now. And, thanks for the tip about the VLC player. The sound wouldn't play on Media Player either, but VLC works fine!

FYI--the weather is very similar to Washington, DC, my one-time home. London is north, but it's not Finland weather. Average Jan temp is in the 40s F. www.holiday-weather.com/london/averages/january

I have lived in LA for 6 years but lived in Cleveland (GO CAVS!) for 34 years before that. Talk about crappy winters, LOL.

Bamafan - I'm blushing now - and feeling bad that I've put you off entering the fray! My sons are getting into training for the floor section and say they'll make sure we get to the front! My little one is 6'5" - typical Queen fan but younger and with more hair! (My boys- 20s- and a good number of their pals, did the Apollo shows and genuinely loved Adam) Looked at the seating plans for the 2008 tour with Paul Rodgers and the floors were standing. They did Nottingham, Glasgow, London O2, Cardiff, Birmingham(saw James Taylor there last night), Liverpool and Sheffield. i live a two centre life so all these places, except Glasgow, are between 30 mins and two hours from me.... And lelemaple - Just do it!

This Tokyo QAL download is absolutely GORGEOUS!!! Oh, the glorious details...each little sweat drop and Melvin hair and the tattoo looks beautiful and the sound is divine, and his smile and his joy! I need more songs....I need more! It's like a professional mini bluray. Even ends with the fireworks, stunning audience views and the Queen logo. Guess it will wind up on Youtube, but this quality version is much better to keep. Download it people! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! This is fantastic. It took a while for me to download, but soooo worth it!. Thanks again!
