No band tonight is confirmed by a fan that is very close to Tommy! So, betting on backing tracks then. Maybe 5 songs, like Miami Pride? Perhaps backing tracks -- seems to make the most sense. Or could be some other accompaniment. I guess we will see tonight. I assume the fan just confirmed no Tommy Joe which means not his touring band. But he could still do something other than backing tracks or his touring band. Perhaps it will just be Adam and his mike, acapella -- in which case I will be annoyed I did not fly to NYC. If it is Adam and backing tapes doing some of his "standards" I am OK with my decision to pass on this one.
ETA: No I did not win tickets (I never win anything) but I was offered a ticket and had to decline. Last time I declined on this event (July 2013) turned out to be an epic concert. So tonight will probably be epic again because I am not there! ;( *** Apparently, the Classic Rock Awards in LA is "just" an appearance by Bri and Adam, and not a Q+AL performance. I have not confirmed this but that seems to be the case. Has anyone seen anything official on this? (And yes, I would love to see just Brian and Adam perform.) ETA 2: This event starts at 6:30 -- and lasts until about 10:30. There is more to it than Adam. Perhaps they have some musicians who are performing at the event already? It would seem odd to have a grand finale in a theater and only have recorded music for the whole event. Just a thought.

Hosted by the Highline Ballroom (431 W 16th Street), the AT&T Live Proud Finale will run from 6:30 to 10:30 pm with an intimate live show from Lambert—fresh off his tour with Queen—at 9 pm. Refreshments will be served.
Adam comes on at 9:00PM -- that is 90 minutes before the end of the event.
Also from HRC -- they were told "Apparently this will be a small VIP event (around 225 people) so the attendees will have an opportunity to get up close and personal with Adam Lambert during his set." |

I think it means the ticket are going well here in Prague.  I sort of keep track on number of the sold tickets (or better - tickets that are not sold yet). Yesterday and this morning there were about 3 000 tickets for sale. Now there are a little more than 5 000 (5 216 about 20 minutes ago). But there are still more than 4 months to the Prague show (February 17) so I hope they can sell the tickets. In addition, except for a few articles in the very beginning of the presale after the tour was announced, we don't have any adds or other promo here yet. (Well they probably think none is needed). It was late afternoon. It was in a club across the street from the concert venue. Don't think anyone knew they were there, at the time! |
