Just watched TALC's video. Thought the set was brilliant! I'm in complete awe of Adam's talent...he has complete control of his instrument. Love how he's eternally conscious of the arc of a song (remember AI? haha!)....he builds and pulls back at precisely the right time (work with THAT ladies  ) Many singers haven't a clue how to do that - even if they have a great voice. It's what mesmerizes me with every performance. ..oh and the giggles. GAH!  As I said last night, I enjoyed the guitar player....I don't think TJ is good enough for Adam (plus he has the personality of a doorknob). Sorrynotsorry. |

Been frantically dog-paddling in an effort to keep my head above water in RL, so still haven't had a chance to read yesterday's thread (let alone heard the vids yet). Nonetheless, popping in to say: Hey - is Adam pretty much back at his natural hair color??!

LOVED this AT&T performance; LOVED everything about it.
Just saw an interesting interview by Sam Jones with Jackson Browne. Jackson talks about songs "aging". He wishes that he could remake some of his songs AFTER he tours with them as after many performances the songs change and age and become more his own. It is obvious to me after hearing Adam sing his songs in their infancy and then hear them change and mature that this is true. One of the best renditions of OOL so far (for me). Adam's "sound" rings so clearly; best tone ever (for me). It surprises me that some comments from newer fans are just discovering this about Adam.
Sometimes I tire of waiting for new songs, new tours, new direction, etc and then he comes forward and sings 4 songs that we've all heard many, many times before and makes them sound new again. And, I realize that all is worth the wait.

Does anyone else think his look yesterday was so "Elliott?!" Kept thinking that I'd seen that look before. You are so right- it is Elliott. Adam could jump right back into the show with this look. I love it and the set was fantastic. Love it when Adam's voice is up front without a lot of background instrumentals. |
