Paul Boote is the owner of One Call Fleet which is aiming to be the leading supplier of business lease vehicles and the leading provider of fleet management solutions across the UK. He previously was a sales executive with a Mercedes dealership.

Daniel Porter-Brown is a Los Angeles-based information technology executive with Brian Says B Free Clothing (BSBF is Brian Friedman’s apparel and lifestyle brand) and for IDentity Unknown Entertainment.

Brian Friedman is a long-time friend of Adam’s and the creative director of The X Factor UK, The X Factor USA and America's Got Talent.

Ben Judge is a London-based entertainment event executive and entrepreneur. He founded Rock Events where he produced a wide range of international corporate events from choreographing fashion shows and product launches to managing 30,000 capacity outdoor pop concerts and gala award shows. As well as working with some of the biggest names in show business, Ben has worked for a wide selection of corporate clients including Louis Vuitton, Radisson, Vodafone, Sony BMG, Pepsi, IPC Media, Masterfoods, BMW, Hilton, United Biscuits, Walkers, Moet, Proctor & Gamble, 10 by Michael Owen, Sunseeker, Morrison's, Arcadia, Pringles, Asda, Coca Cola, Direct Line, Universal Music, Cadburys, KP to name but just a few. Rock Events is no longer in operation but Ben Judge is still involved with event management. Ben Judge was also a director of Pride London (2009 - 2010) and has been a repeat industry guest speaker at national trade events such as the RSVP show.

Yesterday, onepopz.com brought us a rehash of Brian May comments with this twisted headline, QUEEN CONFESS: “Are We A Better Band With Adam Lambert, Than With Freddie Mercury?” onepopz.com/queen-confess-better-band-adam-lambert-freddie-mercury/

It opened with a bit of totally silliness that is not based on reality, “The controversy has been heating up and swirling around and raging for months, between Glamberts and old-school fans of iconic rock band Queen.” Having attended quite of number of Q+AL concerts, in three countries over the past 3 years, I have not seen any controversy heating up and swirling around and raging for months between “Glamberts” and “old-school” Queen fans. Then proceeded to cobble together Brian May quote that actually did not support the headline.

Since this article was on onepopz.com, a site “anyone” can write for and that has no editorial review, I would have ignored it but there was one comment posted on the article that I truly appreciated and wanted to share.

The comments posted on the article (or lack thereof actually since there are only 16 comments and none support this “raging controversy” idea) were quite sensible -- the overall sentiment was these Freddie vs. Adam comparisons have become tiresome, and even the people who posted an [Adam or Freddie insert name here] is the greatest comment, were civil.

One post, however, opening with one of the nicest comment I have read on this matter so I am posting it on page 1.

I've seen Queen with Freddie and with Adam and both were spectacular! You can't compare an apple to an orange except they're both sweet and delectable!

Yvette, I have no idea who you are, but I love this comment and intend to steal it at every available opportunity. And I am sure that Freddie and Adam would both love it.


No Adam and Freddie are not ordinary Apples or Oranges.

And just in case you are curious, Adam is the apple (Adam in the Garden of Eden ) and, thus, Freddie must be the orange which somehow seems to suit him.


Adam is a golden apple -- “I had a dream….more gold. What we need is more gold.” And Freddie is, of course, a fully glamorized orange!

So what about the promised great idea?

I have a plan. Every time I see one of these Adam vs. Freddie articles, I am going to quote a wise woman known as Yvette, “I've seen Queen with Freddie and with Adam and both were spectacular! You can't compare an apple to an orange except they're both sweet and delectable!”

The Adam Bear from the Operation Bobby Bear auction sold yesterday for $2,700.

Gery Keszler, founder and CEO of the annual Vienna-based Life Ball, has asked fashion designers and international personalities to create unique Build-A-Bear® bears to be auctioned for the benefit of Operation Bobbi Bear. Operation Bobbi Bear is a South African non-profit organization that works on behalf of sexually abused children and helps minimize their risks of an HIV-infection at the point of rescue.



Description: The title of the Life Ball Song 2013, sung by Adam Lambert, would also make an appropriate description of his bear: “Love Wins Over Glamour." The bear embraces the good cause with its extravagant style consisting of a tank top, leather pants, patent leather boots, and a metal bracelet. The look is rounded off by characteristic features of the singer such as black eyeliner and tunnel ear plugs. Signed “Adam Lambert."
