I still do a lot of ironing. "ironing" - what's that? ETA - oh yeah, now I remember. That's what I did before some genius invented dryers, fabric softener sheets and perm-press. I accidently "lost" my iron when we moved three years ago. Never missed it. ;D [grins] My mom bought me an iron when I went to college. My MIL bought one when I got married (it was a hint...which I blatently ignored - if he's gonna be picky about his shirts the dry cleaner is around the corner). I think the only time I use the thing is to get candlewax out of tableclothes. That said, both my mom and MIL are ironing fiends. Seriously, I've seen my mom iron underwear! I just don't get it myself. Don't overstuff the dryer and pull clothes out while they're a smidge damp and yer good to go. Anything that REQUIRES ironing goes to Goodwill. I can think of more fun stuff to do...like lurk ovah here at ATOP!! ;D That said, must check the dryer before reading the new thread or I'll have no work shirts and the kid is goin' nekkid to nursery school tomorrow! Oh, and the REAL genius is the person who invented washable markers!! The fact that I could sit on an uncapped red marker in a pair of light tan pants and yet still have them wearable after a wash cycle is AWESOME!!! Now if I could just figure out how to get the melted bubblegum out of my husband's shirt pocket....

This thread is probably dead, but I'm with you peeps. I'm definitely on #teamnoiron I mean, that's why ms. god invented dryers, right? I've even been known to blow-dry a shirt while I'm wearing it if I notice there are still wrinkles after my first attempt.
Ironing underwear???? ROTFL!! I think someone is just on a roll at that point and can't stop.
