Adam really seemed more front man than ever before on NYE. He just commanded that stage. And Brian and Roger felt it too. If I see it correctly at the end of the show Adam tried to get Brian and Roger to take a separate bow, just the two of them, as usual. And for the first time, Brian just refused. And after that he started hunting for a working microphone. My guess is that his words would've been: 'ladies and gentlemen: Adam Lambert!!!'
Maybe this new self confident that came out as arrogant to some people. But hey if you are fronting a legend band like Queen you need those high self confident, because it's easy to feel intimidated on stage and by the crowd.
I haven't read anything, and I'm all over the internet LOl, about Adam appearing arrogant..There was a limited amount of time and no time for a Brian guitar solo.. so Adam did the songs.. like that much better.. Hope they give Adam more time on their shows around Europe.. I know his voice needs rest, but the middle part of the show lagged a bit for me, I was there at the Maryland show.Wish I could have gone to New Years Eve show.. the stream was incredible though.

If Adam wasn't confident in that performance, it would have fallen flat. He had them eating out of his hand. It was magical! This was all destiny; Adam is meant to both front this band and be a solo artist at this point In his career and Brian and Roger are too damn incredible to retire. They are meant for each other. Girlfriend, see QAL in the UK with these huge UK audiences is going to be a once in a lifetime experience! I am so excited for you and the other AToppers that are going. These audiences will know every song & every clap! I can't wait! Seeing them on their home turf is going to be so special. I can't wait to hear people's reactions afterwards.

I will wait until the end of the day and move all the new downloads to page 1 so we have a complete list. Do you want me to put a page link in the recap section so that the page can be found more easily in the future?
please!! I've been trying each day to actually download (without success) so, I for one, will be visiting the page often for awhile as I figure out what's going on.

The speed of the NYE show was very impressive -- one song after another. I know we tend to focus on Adam but both Brian and Roger were playing their butts off and it just never let up. You know, after Europe this tour may very well be over. After watching NYE, I got a little panicky about not seeing Queen tour again. Don't get me wrong, I'm more then ready for A3 but Brian and Roger are going to be hard to let go -- of course, Adam will be touring and maybe they'll want to come along for the ride [serious sarcasm].

I finally have a minute for myself and want to tell all of you - I'm mostly lurking around these days - too much work and other home stuff and I come here to unwind and connect with the best part of the world Oh, by the way, totally forgot to share with you my December unexpected pleasure - we were at Moscow "Burger King" with my son and at one point I was talking with him while some music came on. I didn't pay a lot of attention to their music, but thought that it sounded somewhat familiar and then my son exclaimed, "Mom, it's Adam!" and it was Adam, indeed It was "Trespassing"! Yay! We were very pleased Oh, and other good thing - my 15-year old niece now is a fan of Adam! I'm educating her in all things that Adam

And in case you might actually have to get back to RL today & have limited time for fun and games on the computer, 2:33 is Sex Machine

The NYC show was similar to the pace of the great Live Aid show. pretty amazing for a couple of old guys. I hope we get to see QAL for a few more years. I think it is more likely that Brian might pop up with Adam at some special TV show performance than any other NON_QAL concert.

Not a hint of that anywhere - - and there was absolutely not a hint of arrogance on that stage from anyone. Just great music and some musicians having a good time on stage.
