@monte_StreetF Monte's Street Force Check out @monterrific and @tommyjoeratliff in @stevecookemusic's new music video for "Radio"!! soc.li/ka4u9sf What do you think?! 8 minutes ago via web Monte and Tommy got a lot of face time on that. Someone seems to have taken note of how Adam's fan base supports the entire Glamily. Not to mention how talented they are in their own right. A win all around.

Mika You are always a voice of reason on this thread. Thank you. Kind Vivlite you give me far too much credit. I really wanted to say let's get Tommy on TV - as an angel and/or demon on Supernatural maybe - because in that video he is prettier than a speckled pup. (Monte's very cool too.) (NoAngel rolls the pretty tinfoil balls across the floor and I just run after them...)

Gold status is within reach... www.adamofficial.com/us/node/1968865 I'm confused. Isn't gold still 50,000 units? It's going to be months before it reaches that level. If the BluRay DVD is going to be available in the US, as it appears it will be (pre-order at Best Buy, out in May...) then many more units may be sold. I know I'll be buying it, and I don't even own a Blu-Ray, but will be buying one if I get this DVD!!!! 8-) 8-)

Thanks, Noangel & rad!!
Wow, #tsunamitweeting today. Where do I start? I will just say at certain times, I recall Adam's response to Mr. Sleazak upon being asked about Gene Simmons' comments re: Adam's acknowledgment of his orientation. Today's events brings that deadpan delivery to mind again.

Watching Adam in action today was a thing of beauty. As Hoppers said, he played that DJ like a fiddle. First using the RT of the DJ's douche-y tweet to draw attention not only to the nail polish issue but also to the DJ's lame comment. (And I'm of the opinion, based on the guy's subsequent tweets, that he was not making thoughtful social commentary, but making fun of Adam.) Adam knew his RT would get his fanbase mobilized, and he let that gather steam for a while, in the meantime tweeting a couple of astute comments about the gender "confusion" issue. Then he tweets the DJ, basically ascribing the guy a praise-worthy motive (which is BS, cuz that wasn't the guy's intention and Adam knew it, lol), and at the same time calling off the fans. Not only did the DJ get totally played, but amazingly, he was left feeling good feelings about Adam. Brilliant. Also gotta point out that Adam wrangled his fans pretty darn well, too. Stirred 'em up in support of him, and then called them back when the point was made. And we were left feeling even more good feelings about Adam. Just as brilliant. Smart smart smart. Love him! And I totally agree with Rabbitrabbit. I like to always start from a place of assuming that people want to do the right thing, and are open to a civilized conversation. If you start with insults and name-calling, you've lost before you ever had a chance to change someone's mind. YES.YES.YES!!!! Great post! Agree with every word. Thanks! 8-)

"He was great." (cue angelic smile) And Slezak practically lost it. Loved that. The boy is wicked smart.

I think that if some peeps are going to give benefit of the doubt to the DJ then they also should give benefit of the doubt to Adam and his supposed motivation IMHO : ??? :D Indeed. We can only speculate. Adam moves in mysterious ways his wonders to behold. (I think Bono said that...) So true...

Perceptions can vary by degrees certainly. However, I don't think there's anything sinister even if this is close to the way it went down. Rather than looking to kick the ass of some obscure dj, I would assume IF this happened that Adam felt moved to comment on a national debate (some may be unaware but this J Crew issue has been in the news for last few days). By RT a common, off-hand sort of remark - whether snotty or benignly stereotypical - Adam gets to highlight social attitudes and comment, asking people to question some assumptions. The DJ yells he's getting fan-hammered so Adam says - 'hey good debate' and eases the tension. And it IS a much needed discussion. (Next = those fucking Babies R Us stores! Fight the real evil!) I think that if some peeps are going to give benefit of the doubt to the DJ then they also should give benefit of the doubt to Adam and his supposed motivation IMHO : ??? :D For me, either way, made me pause & reflect. Men do not often dare to avow, even to themselves, the slow progress reason has made in their minds; but they are ready to follow it if it is presented to them in a lively and striking manner, and forces them to recognize it. - Marquis de Condorcet, Marie Jean Antoine Nicholas de Caritat Let our reason, and not our senses, be the rule of our conduct; for reason will teach us to think wisely, to speak prudently, and to behave worthily. - Confucius
