I have to believe that SOMEONE out there has seen Adam's screen potential and approached him/his management company. It is so glaringly obvious, even if one didn't know of his extensive acting experience. Therefore, I have to conclude that Adam is not interested in a screen role at this time. He wants to focus on his music career and his next album. Either that, or he does not like the roles he has been offered, since he has said he would like to pursue a film career. I agree and yet there's this nagging suspicion because his managment is 19(aka idol). Didn't Clay Aiken sue them because they didn't have his best interest at heart or something? I recall someone on MJs saying there's a conflict of interest when you're managed by idol. Adam is focused on his new album right now. RCA Ed posted he is not doing TV appearances because Adam doesn't want to -- that he want to focus on his new album. I am certain that if Adam wanted to do some acting, someone w Regarding the Clay story posted a MJs every now and again. I would file this under "just cause someone posts something at MJs doesn't make it true". No fans knows for sure how Clay's attorney (Jess L. Rosen) managed to break Clay's contract with 19 Management but it is believed by many Idol watchers that the some of the early season Idol management contracts were not done properly and contestants signed without full knowledge of what they were doing (insufficient legal representation). Whatever the issue was, it was corrected before 2005. Clay has said that 19M and RCA did not have his best interests at the forefront and was outspokenly critical of both. I think that several later Idols -- Cook and Adam are good examples -- have shown that you can have control over much of what you do. Clay appeared to actually do better when 19M represented him than he did after, and similarly did better with RCA than his short stay was UMG/Decca. JMHO usually artists/performers should look in the mirror when they have career issues. |

Skylar, one part particularly caught my eye... Google translate does as "great" a job as it did with the Grenade song with Nikka Costa.... LOL "is a native of Finland and swinger"  ;D ;D OK after major  on my part, I'll vanish, BBL! ha I know! Will be interesting to find out what the word actually means. That translation video with Nikka is brilliant. There was also "Even after a few minutes swinger confession". Google loves swingers, it seems. |

Just a reminder -- since there is not a ton of Adam news, I have allowed the news thread to include a bit of off topic posts. But do not push it too far or your post will vanish. Late last night went too far off topic. (And the off topic included more than just a recipe.)
I will be deleting many posts from the last couple of hours of last night -- so, if for example, you would like the lemon cupcake recipe, I recommend you copy it by noon EDT when it will go "poof". And if it is a really great recipe, that someone post it in the right thread.
I can think of 5 reasons that a lemon cupcake recipe could be considered Adam news.....
1. If Adam bakes lemon cupcakes and tweets the recipe.
2. If Adam is on Cupcake Wars and wins with his lemon cupcake recipe.
3. Adam is invited to have lemon cupcakes with the Obama's at the White House and the White House Chef shares her recipe for lemon cupcakes.
4. Adam is knighted and becomes Sir Adam, and gets to eat cupcakes with Queen Elizabeth 2 and we speculate about what kind of cupcakes that Adam ate with the Queen.
5. We learn that Lady Gaga served Lemon Cupcakes as her birthday party and Adam comments that he loved them and wants the recipe.
So.....if it is a recipe, post it in the recipe thread (yes, we have one)!

Maria Menudoes, An American entertainment reporter, was interviewed this morning. She was asked if there was a common thread she noticed with those that achieved stardom. Her reply, "The upper echelon of stars all have a warm friendly presence. They are the nicest people to be around." She went on to say the people in the middle are the difficult ones, the divas. She speculated that this attitude was the difference between being successful and being a Mega-Star.
I couldn't help but think about Adam. Every person who interviews him or works with him speaks of him as nice, warm and a joy to work with. This is the edge that I believe gives Adam the potential to be legendary.
This could be one difference between Clay and Adam's relationship with 19.

Q3: Don't care to start some in depth discussion about other idols in a PM, because I really don't care about any of them to go to the trouble! LOL However, there maybe some interesting information you might want to read from RCA Ed over at David Cook's Official Board. I followed a link from MJs the other day because the Cookstans were complaining about Mr. Ed's comments. It seems that RCA Ed has now been assigned to DCO and he is modding, banning and just generally driving them crazy. (Imagine that... :  He has given out some detailed information concerning how RCA works behind the scenes to promote albums and singles. I originally followed the link to get a good laugh out of the Cookstans trying to adjust to RCA ED, but I ended up finding some interesting information on promotion and where RCA seems to be at this point. Ed's comments are something that you might be interested in, as well as those who like details about numbers, charts and promotion. There are several pages.
