Thanks Cassie, these descriptions immediately brought images of Kandinsky to me, and I looked up something.... Oh my gosh! Kadinsky is one of my fvaorite artists! I have 3 reprints hanging in my house. One, called several circles, is next to me right now! I've seen his work in person. It is amazing! Thank you for pulling the ones that reminded you of Adam's songs! Maybe Kadinsky sees color also? I am saving your post forever!

Kris Allen got an acting job on Gigantic...WTFIT? I can't believe that some producer would NOT look at AFL and see the potential of putting him on the screen... Thank the universe that Adam's acting debut is not on a TV Disney show! I would cringe at the cheeziness. It fits Kris perfectly though (and I do not mean that in a mean way.) Didn't Kris basically play himself?

This!!! Need to do a drive by Good Morning and Happy Birthday to our bday peeps. 4msrmyn, thank you for those theater reviews. It does speak volumes that his teachers/directors remembered him so specifically years later. He truly is exceptional and you just never know why people have to go through such struggle in the entertainment industry. It is so freaking arbitrary sometimes, but tenacity is often the secret ingredient. The key is not getting so tired and beat down that you begin questioning your abilities or accepting defeat. I remember reading an article about Mark Ruffalo (pretty sure it was him), and before he got his breakthrough role he said he went on some insane number of auditions – something like 400 – before he got a paying gig. Oh wait! I found the stat ... it was 800; here's a quote and an interesting article: This is a guy who went on 800 auditions before he got a part in a movie. No, that’s not a typo. Let me spell it out for you. Eight hundred motherfucking auditions. Have you ever been to an audition? Conjure an image of being strip-searched at the Mexican border and you get a rough idea of a pleasant one. The number 800 is mind-numbing. It defies imagination. This is one of the nicest guys I’ve met in Hollywood or out and who, for my money, is one of the most prodigiously talented actors alive right now… and for a long, long time nobody in the movie world noticed. www.moviemaker.com/directing/article/mark_ruffalos_revenge_2925/And that assessment certainly lends itself to the questions of the people at your party, Melisende. In this life, some things just don't make any motherfucking sense, but what can you do but keep slugging away ...

I don't think this has been posted here, @1:04 Pia was asked about Adam and she said "Adam is a good guy, I like Adam". Btw, from Michael Slezak's video yesterday, Pia said that she was auditioning for Idol on S6,7 and 8, so she might have know Adam during S8) Pia only made it to Hollywood in Season 6 so she wouldn't have met Adam unless she auditioned in San Francisco and got lucky. In reading Ed's responses on DCO.. is anyone else struck by how much more friendly he is there than on AO? I mean seriously... WTF? He's one of the main reasons I stay off AO because he's so damn rude most of the time.

Skylar, one part particularly caught my eye... Google translate does as "great" a job as it did with the Grenade song with Nikka Costa.... LOL "is a native of Finland and swinger" ;D ;D Actually the Google translation was surprisingly good. I did my Master's thesis a couple of years ago about Machine translation and it seems the programs have developed quite a lot since then. Of course, they are not perfect and never might (will) be... Anyway, I'm sorry I didn't think about doing a quick translation of the article when I posted the link but I was at work and in a bit hurry... :-[ And since I'm new here, I don't want to step on anyone's toes (for example, don't know if you have some sort of agreement about who does translations etc...) Learning all the time... - Mia -
