Happy to say that Sarina-Joi, Jax and Tyanna are through. I'm trying to decide if Loren is real or acting. Adanna, Joey, Maddie and Alexis are also in the top 8.

Sorry so late Theosma but here are the girls. Tell me your opinion please. Tyanna , Sarina, Jax, Adanna, Maddie,Alexis, Loren, and Joey Cook made it through. Sarina was really good. Adanna sang better thanI had heard her however, I don't what Harry was hearing because on these he went on his "intonation" rant saying they were flat. Jax was really innovative with hers I thought but only Keith praised her artistry. Sorry but sometimes don't think Harry or Jlo know what artistry is even though I respect them. My favorites are still Sarina, Jax and Tyanna but guess we will see next week. I read that there will be 2 wild cards so 12 instead of 10. Just my thoughts.

Jax has got to stop touching her hair. I think wearing the "internet sensation" dress was distracting, not only did she have to keep pulling it down, what was going thru my head is why, how, and why again. She is coming off as too calculating and not genuine which is a complete turn around from her audition. I enjoy Joey Cook. Not sure how far she can go and but she's entertaining. The rest of the girls are a bit of a mixmash.
Boys smoys. If I had voted in Idol on anything other than season eight I might vote for Daniel. I find him earnest but the love songs are offputting. But if I was a record producer he's at least a Disney star if not a Beiber. I can see Qaasim singing with Niles on the finale but I don't know if he can hold a tune. The WGWGs are not bringing it and I don't get any appeal from Clark.
yep, no irons in the fire for me. Not surprising. But I do find the season interesting. I don't think there is any way it won't be known as the season of equality. I can't say of diversity. Wonder if that has anything to do with Empire being a hit this year (I like it too). Anyway, I don't remember any season looking as much like Pop music as this one.

OK,only 4 Rayvon, Nick, Quentin, and Quasim deserved to get through those other 4 just no. Sorry but Clark was way out of his league and slaughtered Tracks Of My Tears AGREE! My 4 exactly also!! Sadly, I think when the top 5 go thru this week to top 10, Daniel will take one of their places. I think Clark will be in Top 5 too, but deserves to be. He just is not my style. Too WGWG! Reminds me of P2, only better! Hope the judges choose the booted guy as their Wild card choice. I think either Nick or Rayvon, or Quentin will not make Top 5 because of daniel. I am afraid Quentin is too far out for middle America!  I was so pissed about the judges "soft" critique of Daniel that i tweeted them for the first time ever! "Would it be too much to ask for you to critique Daniel's singing instead of his cuteness!"  The girls elimination went OK for me. I think Katherine had potential, but she was awful last week. Just so frickin happy to not have Shi or Shannon making my eardrums bleed anymore! I loved Jax's performance. Think JLo was way too hard on her! And really, criticizing Sarina's pitch, Harry? With some of the other performances? WHAT??!! Why does Harry always have to say something negative. i know he feels he is giving them something to work on, but c'mon! A positive critique, for great performances, would be nice for a change. Plus, he seems to not criticize equally. Someone who is not as good (Daniel) often gets a pass because expectations are lower! :( My top 3 girls are still the same: Jax, Sarina, Tyanna! ETA: LOVED Jax wearing the internet dress! So funny! Showed me the girl ahs a great sense of humor. And I don't mind calculating as long as the talent is there to back it up! She is one of my favorites, so i am OK with calculating. |

I thought Jax wearing the internet dress was clever too, but I agree with Jablea that Jax keeps touching and pulling at her hair too much. That I do find distracting.
What do you all think of Loren? As I said above, I can't decide if she is being real or acting?

Not a Loren fan because of her voice. Too nasally!
I do like Joey too. Forgot to mention her. Hope she makes Top 5. I think the eliminated girls this week will be Loren, Maddie, Alexis. I think the judges might put Maddie back as their WC.

Just started watching the last couple of weeks and Harry is already on my last nerve. If the interesting contestants get booted off the island then I will turn it off because I am only putting up with Harry to see them. Several times Harry got hit with the mute button from me  |

Yup, and he does go on about pitch. I know pitch is important, but I sure don't hear what Harry is hearing lots of times. I wonder if he has perfect pitch. Also, I was thinking how hard it must be for those contestants to be called up and then have to sing. Their hearts must be going a mile a minute and that can really affect breath control which, of course, affects pitch.

Yes, they are so excited about being called then they have to sing their hearts out. Can't be easy! If Harry has perfect pitch, it sure doesn't show when he's singing!  OK, let me tell you all what this week's shows are going to be like because it will be different. On Wed., the show will reveal who the Top 5 girls & Top 5 boys are from last week's performances. This will make 10 contestants! Then the judges are going to pick one girl & one boy from the eliminated 6, of that night, as wild cards and they will perform. There will be a vote that night that will be revealed the next day! On Thursday, there will be an elimination from Wednesday's vote! Thursday has a theme of "Party Songs." At the end of Thursday's show there will be only 11 contestants left. The following week, March 12th, the show begins its 2 hour shows. There will be no show on Wednesday because of a 2 hour Empire finale. Here's an interesting tidbit about Wednesday's show. It is being taped early on Tuesday! Yes! So there will be spoilers on Tuesday afternoon for the entire Wed. show. Weird!! This Thursday's show will be the first live show of the season. |
