Adam got so much flack for that image on FYE..watch, it will be a classic. Thanks, lindy! At my last consulting gig I gave a copy of FYE to the woman I was working for. On the day she brought it home she said that she was looking for something in her briefcase and handed it to her husband while she rifled through some papers on the train ride home. He wouldn't hold it! Then the story gets worse. Her children (5 & 7yrs old) looked at the sleeve and kept asking if it was a girl or a boy. If it was a boy, why did he have make-up on? So what did the parents do? They took the sleeve out of the jewel case so the kids wouldn't see it. Sad. I'm guessing the sleeve went into the garbage. I wish I didn't know this. She said her kids were too young to have to do any type of explaining. Every time I passed her by for the next few days I had to bite my tongue. But, you know, Pasta, THAT is the stuff classics are made of. Often not appreciated at the time but conquer the test of time. Like artwork that PostFestumPF posted yesterday. Many artists were scorned when they were expressing themselves and now their art is iconic. Polarizing is good. It outlasts milquetoast anyday. IMO So don't be sadz, pls?? (smilie hug)

I don't have a Blue-Ray player either. Does it play in 1080i? What resolution is the regular DVD if played on a HD tv using a 1080i input? Is it only a 720? or less? (not that I know what that means). Is there a noticable difference ? I'm really pleased with how the GNlive looks on my reg. DVD player. Maybe I should just buy one copy for my stash/treasure chest. Oh, Lynneville.........??? A Blu-ray player hooks up to your tv with a hdmi cable. It will play blu-ray disks and regular dvds and even cds. It will play up to 1080. However, if you don't have a HD tv (or even one with a HDMI jack) there is no reason to get a blu-ray player because it won't look any different on your regular tv. I have found that I can only notice the difference in things that are filmed in HD. I ordered the blu-ray dvd "just because", but I don't think it will look much better than the regular dvd because of the way it is filmed. It is grainy, black and white, and has hardly any close ups. I don't expect the blu-ray to look much better. I would only recommend getting a blu-ray if you have a HD TV and are ready to upgrade or if you just need a new DVD player.

I love Loaded Smile. It and Broken Open were 2 of my favorites. I was surprised coz I normally am not a big fan of ballads, but have found even though I don't care for angst female singers, I love angsty Adam! Can't forget CLYG!!! YES, YES AND YES...Perhaps I am drawn to more ambient sound qualities, dunno, but these are my 3 ethereal diamonds.

I was torn between rage and hurt when it happened.

My rabbit hole keeps getting deeper and deeper. Just bought two blue-rays; one for my son (who has the player) and one for me (maybe someday?) - - between this and charity:water (seven donations - and no poster yet; or even an email) - - and the concerts of 2010 (which I wouldn't trade for the world!) I'll be working till I'm eighty - - - *sigh* WHEN'S THE NEXT ONE OFF???????!!!!!! I'm not only buying the Blue-Ray version, but I'm buying the player also!!! I HAVE to see our Rak Star in the highest quality possible. It's out of my control actually.....sad but true....I'm addicted.... 8-) 8-)
