OT warning
Here's what he said from MJ's site, "Most of the world thinks Adam won,” Borchetta said of Adam Lambert, the season 8 runner up. He feels his job is to make sure that after the winner is crowned, they’ve been given the opportunity to succeed."
The thing is the winner have been given the a lot of opportunity to succeed, but when the talent's of the runner up was off the scale compare to the winner, you cannot said that they've not been given the opportunity to succeed. The winner's promotion after the announcement was way more than Adam the runner up. And he shouldn't blame the world they think Adam is the winner. With a talent and charisma like Adam there's no other option for the world to think Adam than winning AI..
"Most of the world thinks Adam won." He says that like it's a bad thing.Personally, I'm just fine with it!
That's what I got from that statement as well, like it's a bad thing.

I didn't read it as the author saying he overestimated. I read it as his continuing to explain the methods. The margin of error from rounding goes up with smaller amounts. All the idols on the list and everyone wants to talk about Adam. Others around him could have been equally as off. We know the two private gigs and Glee were not included in the estimate. That should more than make up for any rounding errors So just as I thought, Forbes does not use figures from private gigs.

USAToday quotes Borchetta this way: Are there contestants from earlier years Borchetta would have like to work with? "Adam Lambert comes to mind. I think a lot of people think Adam won. He's an enormous talent..and a lot of the choices he made stunted his career."
I wonder what his complete statement was. www.usatoday.com/story/life/tv/2015/01/17/idol-sings-again/21931809/peace&love

The absence of Glee is the biggest mystery though...He had 5 episodes, I am sure this can add up..I can't see him being paid less than $100K /episode and most probably more than that... The commenter talking about previous year earnings has no clue what kind of $$$$ Asian gigs pay. Dimsissing those as insignificant is just silly.

I personally think this is great, classy on Monte's part. Bullshit. Monte needs to act like a man and apologize face to face not play nice over twitter to Adam's new label and to billboard. He had a chance at the Classic Rock awards, there is no indication that they even spoke. Including BBand WB is nothing but an attention grab. IMO. Prick

That commenter is a butthurt fan of either Kris or Phillip! Also very stoopid to not realize the amount Asian gigs pay! He will be #1 next year! I may have gone over there & thanked him for going above and beyond to answer questions. Might have asked him about Glee too! $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

He talked about Adam last week & I get the impression he loves Adam and wishes he could have handled his career. C'mon, you all have to admit, RCA & 19R screwed era 2 up really badly! What if Adam had a label like Taylor Swift's at the time? I think that is what he is trying to say!
