I'm sure this was covered hrs ago, but I'm just catchin up on twitter and made me laugh. (And made me miss Neil though I know he's having a great time.) #Sederhumor
milestougeaux I confess to stealthily drinking Elijah's wine all those years. One kid dug the magic of it, the other knew it was some sort of gimmick.

Finally home and through the thread! Everybody has just about said it all. I take heart from the fact that Tedder said in the interview we had recently that Adam definitely knows what he wants. The tone suggested that Adam at least called some shots in the recent bout of "writing hits with Ryan Tedder" tweet we saw from Adam a bit ago. The fact that he is working with Sia and Nikka speaks volumes as well. Of course, the label will have its opinion about the songs Adam shows them, but my guess is that Adam is smart and has some skills at figuring out how to best play situations, and will therefore be better than many at getting even label people to believe that what he gives them is what they want. He is probably already strategizing. (haha...give them something really crazy first, and then show them something less crazy that will seem safe by comparison etc...). Adam is good at the game. And that is one more thing I love about him. David Cook's single is not my cuppa, but I'm gonna download it in honor of mys*&@^#r, whom I loooooove! . I wish DC all the best, truly, and think his voice is better than this song, but hopefully his target audience will hear it completely differently than I do. Good for him that Lyndsey Parker loved it!

Adam will have a lot of song material ready for TPTB to review for Adam 2. What I worry about is that TPTB will be so clueless as to what is current, what the fans are interested in and lack the understanding of Adam’s vision for the album that we will get a bunch of irrelevant, outdated, cookie cutter music. Maybe I'm foolishly optimistic, but I'm not particularly concerned that RCA will want Adam's album to be chock full of "irrelevant, outdated, cookie cutter music." RCA was apparently very much on board with Adam's rather unorthodox artistic vision for FYE, and that was when he was an untried artist fresh off of AI. Why, after he has done so much to prove himself, would TPTB at the label try to force his all-important sophomore release into such trite territory? I think the label recognizes the value of letting Adam be Adam. Similarly, I think Adam recognizes the need for radio-friendly material (which does not, by its very definition, mean that it will be inane and cookie-cutter). You don't collaborate with the likes of Ryan Tedder to come up with the esoteric and the bizarre - you collaborate with him because he knows how to write hits. Same with Bonnie McKee. So far it seems that Adam is going for an interesting combination of the commercial and the more adventurous in his collaborations. As long as he brings strong commercial cuts a la Ryan and Bonnie, he has a good shot at also getting the more cutting edge Sia and Nikka material on the album as well. Personally, I'm intrigued and very optimistic about Adam 2.0. Thanks, Bocababe, I appreciate your post!! I also believe/hope Adam's next album will be another fusion of styles. Can you imagine how bored this man would be with cookie cutter material? I have no angst that RCA will try to pigeonhole Adam. He speaks highly of his team relationship and by the tweets I have seen from RCAPromo, the respect is mutual. JMO

Adam's tweets today were sweet. Glad he's excited about the million followers.
On Cookie's single... I liked it on first listen but then I like pop/rock music in general. I love the texture and tone of David's voice. I have his first album Analog Heart which I loved and I have his "official" debut which I liked. This song has the potential to be a good hit on HOT AC for him. I heard it on the radio three times today and it doesn't even get released until tomorrow. I think David has a lot of good will at radio because he's a good guy and a talented artist. Plus Ryan is attached to the song.

I like David Cook, but i think that song sounds like they stuffed him in a box and threw poppies on him. NoAngel. I agree. They will not make Adam do bland. If anything, they want the edge from him. It's what makes him dangerous and fascinating and international. Now I'm curious about the Beyonce song. Thanks, Susie. Lynne, I agree, Adam is an excellent game player. And I'm a sucker for pictures like this. Baby's freaking out. Tommy looks amused.

No, she was born that way. It just took a while for her current nose to be revealed to the Universe...

I wouldn't be at all surprised -- maybe she had the nose and horns done at the same time?
