The flu that has hit this year which the vaccines did not provide protection for is a high temp, bronchial (bronchitis symptoms) type that last 2 to 3 days. I had it in November, and my son had it in January. You feel like crap with chills and bronchitis symptoms, and within 3 days its gone, with a day or two to recoup, and there is a lingering, very slight cough. No phlegm. I hope Adam has this one because he will recover quickly. I thought I had bronchitis and was preparing for the worst, with lingering symptoms for months. So happy it was a total of 5 days, with 2 really bad days. Fingers crossed.... happy you're OK

I completely understand why Brian and Roger would not want to do a show without Adam . He brings an incredible amount of energy to the show that is completely apart from his talent. Adam feeds off the crowd, and I'm sure Brian and Roger do, too, but they also feed off the energy of Adam. Even some critics talk about the energy that goes out of the show when Adam leaves and the way it returns when he does. Adam is young and joyous and gifted and charismatic, and I believe that, for Bri and Rog, he is a vital part of making DOING the shows feel good - AND, in their minds, of making the shows good ENOUGH as well. After all, they are perfectionists, and they want their shows to be at a certain standard that they feel good about. Adam will be well soon enough, and the show will go on once again in the way that Brian and Roger feel is best. YES they have said so in so many words.. "drinking Adam's blood comes to mind" where have you been???? Nice seeing you Busy, busy, busy in real life, so I am mostly on Twitter these days, but I am currently in vacation mode until tomorrow. ????

Like Cassie, I have a great deal of experience with bronchitis. I'm a singer who also has asthma. I have probably had a case or two of bronchitis every year of my life, and I can usually tell from the first nasty cough what it is. With proper medicine, rest and lots of fluids, Adam should bounce back quickly. Since he is such a highly trained vocalist, he knows how to take care of himself and his voice (thank God). I feel for him and the rest of the band, too--but it happens to everyone and Adam is probably even more determined right now to get better quickly! Plus, I am sure he is bored out of his mind...

Nic42 - hugs from me too. I sincerely hope and wish, those of you who predict it will be only a 3 day thing, with Frankfurt counting as one of these days, is right and all will go according to plan from then on out. Tbh, I am actually surprised, that this doctor did not take out both Brussels and Milan for Adam, for a bronchitis. Stuttgart is an easy 2-3 hour drive or 25 minute flight from Frankfurt, that could be done on whatever day, as best for him. Twice crossing the alps, with altitude, dry air, landing in Milano with bad city smog, I have to say, I never had to do that on a day I had bronchitis. Cannot be a good thing. But I now read that he is already in Italy, so it's a done deal at this point. And of course, I am happy for all Italy concert goers, if he can sing and they can have a great show. The reason, the rest of the continental stations are now two days apart, is because the distances are much bigger going forward. No more just 3 hours bus rides, these are almost all in the 10 - 12 hour travel range, because they now start zig-zaging wildly through Europe. Once they are in UK, things go back to normal, but next few concerts are very far apart. If even one person on these buses is sick, it can be quite difficult to keep the crew healthy too. While I understand, that crew people are just a tiny tad easier to substitute than Brian or Adam, having one or two sound engineers out, or some of the other key people that we don't know about, can be quite a challenge too for any tour. I hope that all can stay healthy, and all goes well for them. But I think we need to try to send chicken soup and best wishes to this whole crew as well at this point. The weather was cold and often windy and crappy in Europe over the last few weeks, and these guys do load ins and outs all the time, with being outdoor one minute and indoor the next and they don't get to fly to the next destination, they ride buses and trucks. So, my best wishes to Adam and the band and the whole crew traveling with them or otherwise involved.
