Unless they definitely have a plan to reschedule, it would have been a cool time to throw something together but Queen has never been spontaneous. I remember when Eddie Vedder fell in they just got Neil Young to sing and they did all sorts of tracks not on the original set list. It could have been a unique gig although I know the Adam fans probably wouldn't have cared as much... Going by the US/UK tour they could have cobbled together: Procession Now I'm Here (Brian on vocals) Fat Bottomed Girls (Brian or Roger on vocals - they've both done it) In The Lap Of The Gods Revisited (Brian) I Want To Break Free (Roger) A Kind Of Magic (Roger) Love Of My Life (Brian) Long Away (Brian) 39 (Brian/Roger) Days Of Our Lives (Roger) Bass Solo Drum Battle I'm In Love With My Car (Roger) Say It's Not True (Rog/Brian) Tenement Funster (Rog) Under Pressure (Rog/Brian) Guitar Solo TYMD (Brian vocals) I Want It All (Brian) Hammer To Fall (Brian) Ga Ga (Rog vocals) Crazy (Rog vocals) BO Rap (Freddie tape) WWRY (B/R vocals) Champions (B/R/Audience type vocals) As the show is billed as Queen + AL legal reasons might stop them going ahead without Adam. Wouldn't that be 'bait and switch'?If they were to go ahead without Adam then they might have to give ticket buyers a choice of their money back or a modified show without Adam and the promoters wouldn't get the insurance money back on returned tickets. Yes, they really cannot changed this from Q+AL to Queen no AL for many reasons. Even rescheduling a concert has massive expenses associated with it. As for the proposed "No Adam" setlist -- just my guess -- a small part of the audience would think it was great, but the vast majority of people are there to see Queen perform their big hits with a great singer and would want a refund. This proposal would be like seeing the Rolling Stone without Mick Jagger and with a setlist that does not include "Satisfaction". Q+AL have built a great collaboration and a great show. If they can't deliver that show, they really have to cancel.

Mellie - no one is talking replacemt not even for the one gig....it was a what if scenario and it would be cool as a Brian/Roger fan to still see their idols.
Queenofthenight
Maybe. Ok strike tenement funster. only 3 "new" songs that I feel very confident that they could pull off.

WOW this replacement conversation is getting me very sad..Adam has missed one appearance in the lsat 6 years. Sorry but to me It's not just about Queen, the money they have to return or fans.. Adam is SICK and irreplaceable.Sending positivity might solve the problem ,so that Adam can get to Milan The most important person in all of this is to me is ADAM and his health.. That's why i'm on this fan site.Maybe I'll see y'all later, maybe not. :( Agreed! Sending tons of light & love to ADAM for a speedy recovery! I think everyone is on board that train. He was so brave to push thru his illness & give Frankfurt their show. A true warrior. A true professional.

LOL. They probably would have just called it Queen...and they almost never would have done it because of their lack of spontaneousness and also due to the grand production. I was just saying that if they can't reschedule, it would have been a nice effort and a unique performance to say the least! Would have certainly been memorable and one I'd love to have seen. However, that puts an awful lot on Brian's plate and I'm not so sure he's totally gotten over his bout with the flu.

I guarantee that he lots of great doctors and peeps around him making sure he gets as well as humanly possible. All my cases of bronchitis cleared up really quickly after I got antibiotics and he's a young healthy guy who is 99.99999999999% likely to bounce back in under a week. And while he's being well cared for, we're just discussing what-if's for those poor souls who might not now ever get a chance to see the show. No one is dissing Adam in any way, shape, or form.

Hi everyone!!
I just got back home from Brussels. Figured it would be better to get drunk here, instead of sitting in a restaurant there feeling like we would be at the wrong place.
Ever since watching the last part of the stream yesterday I was worried. Dreamed about Adam all night. And this morning checked my messages until the last moment when we checked out at the hotel. And until then, everything was allright. But I couldn't shake the feeling of something being wrong, so after a while I decided to use my international roaming pack (expensive!) after all. And I checked twitter exactly 53 seconds after Brian's cancellation message.
It wasn't a surprise. And at first I was relieved. Adam isn't going to sing through it. He can stay in bed and get better. And that is still the biggest feeling for me. He is important, his voice is important. But I am also very very gutted. I should be looking at that curtain right now, not sitting in my own living room. And this was probably the only chance to show my husband what Adam is capable of. They are not rescheduling, so that one chance is gone now.
I could use some hugs....
BUT I understand very well why they cancelled, and it is the right decision and I absolutely don't feel like Adam has let us down. It just sucks that he got ill. For everyone. I hope Adam will take his time to get over this, and go on to have a wonderful tour with loads of fun.

Bronchitis is a symptom, not a disease -- it means he has an inflammation of the lining of his bronchial tubes. Adam does not have chronic bronchitis, what he has is acute bronchitis most likely as a result of the cold or virus he has had for a while.
It usually take 2 to 3 days for bronchitis to respond to treatment -- and Adam's next concert is in Milan on Tuesday 2.10.15. If they diagnosed it in Frankfort (probably after the concert or they would not have let him perform), he as enough time to rest, let the drugs work and recover before he has to perform again.
I am not a doctor but I have had a lot of personal experience with bronchitis -- almost enough to get a degree in it.

Holly Molly! Nobody is digging Adam's grave!
Adam is young, fit, and has a pretty remarkable history of good health.
Queen fans and Adam fans could join together and help with the singing and clapping.
Adam fans could do the dancing parts.
Keep Killer Queen, and ask for volunteers to sprawl on the chaise lounge.
I can see it now...
