Nikki, thanks for your comments about Adam's growth and confidence.
Certainly, he is learning to work with arena-sized audiences. Remember back to Kiev and the following concerts on that mini-tour? A lot of his personal performance style was missing. Little by little some of it crept in (Emo jacket and the prancing that went with it). To me it was a way of gradually testing the water with Queen fans. Would they accept him as a singer? Would they appreciate his brand of camp? How about the sexy or athletic moves (not too many for those concerts)? My feeling is that while he is improving as he tours, he is also just getting to be himself. Revealing "himself" (GN-style stage presence) early on probably would not have gone over very well with skeptical Queen audiences. (Ya think!).

And more importantly, to miss posting a running twitter commentary throughout the concert. We rely on you. Especially those of us who have difficulty multi-tasking with computers, phones and tablets. Whatever you THOUGHT you were going to do this afternoon can be rescheduled, I am sure. Mornings would be better until the concert tour is over. We are not mad at you. Well, not TOO mad. But, darling, remember, in the future, to ask permission to abandon us on concert day. Just in case anyone misses it,

I'm back home from my Berlin trip. Still tired but very happy that I could experience the spectacle live. There's always more than you can see in the videos - and the voice, so beautiful and rich and clear! Also it was lovely to meet zeldon. Great company made my stay even more special!

Hi everyone! I just posted a (very long! ) recap of our trips to Cologne and Hamburg on page 28 of the Hamburg concert thread! Thank you betty for your recap. Your story is so funny and entertaining. I laugh out loud when I read that you behave like 15 years old! Nosebleeds sounds scary, but luckily everything went well! You said that you would like to see again the third time QAL. How about Prague or Krakow, there is still tickets left. (And I would have opportunity to meet you ... )

Drive-by Gratitude post:
BETTY, your concert recaps are the absolute best! (So glad hubby was ok).
NIKKI, really enjoyed your essay. It spoke to many observations I've had so articulately.
4MS, you are the best chronicler evah!
ADAMROCKS, you are part of the glue that holds this place together.
OTT: the other day my therapist said I get this joyous smile on my face when I talk about Adam and ATOP. She said everyone should have a shared community like this to enjoy. She has now become adamized.
