Hmmm. Maybe this should be on the Numbers Thread Ha! But I actually do like to hear a little bit about the numbers without having to slog through all those lists and tables, bleah. It seems like a few paragraphs here and there would be okay in the daily thread. Me too. I like to hear bits of the good news!

It seems like a few paragraphs here and there would be okay in the daily thread. I think we should see a little bit of everything in this thread. Just to stay informed on all things Adam. When it gets into deep discussion on the subject then of course we should go to the proper thread. Just my opinion, but I seldom check the other threads!!

It is indeed a marathon but we all knew that. And I really do not see a lot of fans here who do not realize how well "Ghost Town" is doing. >> Are there really a lot of fans worried about GT not shooting up the charts? Seriously, after 6 years I think most fans have a lot more persistence and perspective than that. *** This link is to a fan blog -- all of this info is public info. They do not have any insider info about the rollout plan -- she is just repeating what Shoshanna and Adam have already Tweeted and said. No fans have inside information about the roll out plan -- no one. I have no idea what they are planning beyond what WBR, Adam and Shoshanna have said -- radio promo now, more TV, heading to UK, France and Germany in June, etc. There is probably no long-range promotional plan is because a launch like this is usually flexible and less set then you might ever imagine. There is usually a conceptual plan, a kick off strategy, a few contingencies, a few set promotional events and the rest is adjusted and built based on market results/response. The music business move quickly and is opportunistic. *** >> One thing is totally clear -- they are working to sell albums, not tracks. They appear to be managing GT to have it on the radio for the album release date. I would expect to see some TV around the album release date. Finally, radio is a promotional media -- it is an expense NOT A GOAL.

It is hard for me to understand why the latest chart positions and/or other NEWS that need to be expressed with the use of numeric symbols should not be posted or discussed in the DAILY NEWS thread...currently these ARE THE REAL NEWS ! Much more so than some on-line posts by often obscure bloggers looking for clicks. Besides - so far all the numbers were great! Lots of reasons to be optimistic!

The fuzzy whip he's playing with at 2:23 is the one I threw on the stage in Duluth (Atlanta). I was standing right at the stage there too. Why didnt't I know Adam back then??? What I would give to be in that audience! The Idol tour was wild for Adam -- and the fans were insane! It is something I have not thought about for a long time. I am glad we have some video but I wish we had more. It was particularly wild as the tour moved across the Southeastern US which is where Idol was most popular and Adam seemed most unleashed!

I am sorry I think my initial comment was not clear. Topline discussion of numbers news is fine here. It is news. "Ghost Town" moving to #41 is news and good news. Deep discussion of the inner workings of the charts, mediabase panels, forecasting, etc. belongs in the numbers thread. A forecast is not news. An analysis is not news.

Aside from the sales forecast portion, it is just my opinion. I think it is worthy of discussing. *** Sales forecasting for me is like a C#5 for Cassie. If is something that I am very passionate about. It is also a professional assessment and not an opinion. It is absolute, quantifiable and provable.

It's a very informative blog post regardless of whether the blogger has some sort of a connection to Adam's team. IMO she does, but YMMV...
