Actually, no I didn't miss the reference the first four times she made it when the discussion about Adam using the term FISH was going on.

Among other things I manage a lot of field research project about youth subculture and trends -- including African American teens -- . and I have miles of video of kids using the N-word to express a wide range of emotions -- and sometimes it is used as a sign of inclusion or approval.

I don't think Skylar is an African American teen but I guess I could be wrong???

Setting that aside, a slur is only powerful if the person it references is affected by it.

I disagree. I'm not referenced by that particular slur and I find the word very powerful because I grew up in a household full of bigots and racists and I fought very hard against the way I was raised and it bothers me to see anyone treating that word so casually, especially someone who I assume has not EARNED the right to "own" that word.

JMO of course and it's your right to allow use of that word and any other slur you wish on your board.

Yep--This is and should be a very private affair. Disappointed Lisa would talk about this on Twitter knowing people would make the connection.

Well if Adam and Monte are having issues, throwing all of it out on Twitter sure isn't going to help anything.
