I also feel uncomfortable with Lisa's rant on twitter and feel that her opinions should most definitely not have been aired via that medium. Surely, she must be aware that a HUGE part of her followers would be Adam fans - I mean how would you not realise this given the Adamcentric names his fans have. Maybe it was deliberate for that reason - or not. Maybe she is hormonal and having a bad day - or not. But she can't not be aware of how much love and support Monte gets from Adam fans because of ummm... well Adam. I wonder how many 'bums on seats' Monte and Tommy's previous gigs would have actually got without the Adam tie-in. Very silly move on her part IMHO. You don't bite the hand that feeds you (for six months + of the year). Hope it all blows over and no ill will ensues. mindchnger mindchnger Lisa's rant: i52.tinypic.com/64kvbr.jpg & i56.tinypic.com/143lsg4.jpg

As always, 90% of what we do is speculate, but what strikes me is how incredibly hard and stressful it is, this "rock star" life. How incredibly difficult it must be, to try to have some semblance of a normal existence, and maintain friendships, and keep things real. No matter what, as someone becomes more famous, things do change, and relationships have to change. Sometimes people get it, and sometimes they don't. I feel for Monte and Lisa, with their 4 kids, and Monte trying to make a career of his own. There's got to be an undercurrent of weirdness, that he is in some sense using Adam's fans to move forward on his own. I don't think there's anything wrong with that, but still... weird. I think I might just quote Adam from his twitter party from a couple of weeks ago- Infidelle Rebecca @adamlambert You are a rare instance where fandom has embraced yr friends and family almost as u. Fun, uncomfortable? 25 Apr Favorite Retweet Reply in reply to ↑ Adam Lambert @adamlambert Adam Lambert @infidelle fine line. I am happy to see my friends benefit but at times it feels like the boundaries are really hard to draw. 25 Apr via Twitter for iPhone Favorite Retweet Reply I don't envy the tightrope he's trying to navigate. He has this circle of people who loved him when all of this was just a dream and he loves them fiercely. And almost all of them want to find for themselves the same kind of success that he has. This must be weird for all of them.

You're quite welcome.
I now have a download for a video that I've always intended to keep but never got around to doing.

Lisa may have just closed her account because she got so many tweets about "is it Adam?????????"
And Monte was clueless when he tweeted the "Sick in the Head" video link -- a truly unlistenable song to top it off.

Have no idea what prompted the twitter rant. But, as others have said, fame does change things. It is unavoidable. As wonderful as it is for Adam to have this recognition, it would be very difficult for the dynamics to change from Monte being the one with the experience and the music connections and credibility (via his work with Madonna mostly) to being outdistanced by the kid he helped find his way. It must be almost impossible for Monte to tolerate being used by thousands of fans to pass messages along to Adam or to get to Adam in some way. And if peeps are going to Monte's shows in the hopes of seeing Adam attend, if Monte is getting gigs just because his Adam connection brings in Adam fans, how deeply demoralizing it could be.
I remember one interview where Adam was asked about whether fame had changed him, or changed his relationships. His response was something about it changing the people around him more than himself. How they relate and interact. How they view him.
It would be very sad if the friendship between Adam and Monte were not able to endure the craziness of fame. I am hoping the twitter hypotheses are incorrect. And if there is any truth to the suppositions, I hope that Adam and Monte can kiss and make up, and laugh it off. All friendships hit rough patches from time to time. Most endure thru it. Crossing my fingers and toes for them both.

Is there a thread for stuff like this? I looked but couldn't find one. 700,000 have signed already. Just 12 hours before the bill is brought to the floor. They want to get one million voices against Uganda's gay death penalty in the next 12 hours www.avaaz.org/en/uganda_stop_homophobia_petition/?vlIn 12 hours, the Ugandan Parliament may vote on a brutal new law that carries the death penalty for homosexuality. Thousands of Ugandans could face execution -- just for being gay. We've helped stop this bill before, and we can do it again. After a massive global outcry last year, Ugandan President Museveni blocked the bill's progress.

And word on the street is that Monte isn't "friends" with Adam anymore on Facebook.
