I wonder how many 'bums on seats' Monte and Tommy's previous gigs would have actually got without the Adam tie-in. Also Monte raised over $60,000 from mostly Adam's fans. Would He have raised that kind of money without Adam's fans. I really like Monte, but Lisa stepped way over the line tonight by tweeting that out in public. ^^^^THIS. Monte is listed on Kick Start as an artist that was able to raise a lot of money. Adam fans helped him do that. I hope this is just in the moment crazy and this doesn't affect the relationships that have been built between Adam and Monte and Monte and Adam's fans. |

My two cents: whatever is going on between Adam and Monte (and I am not sure anything is - in fact I tend to believe everything is just fine and blown out of proportions by the fandom and social media ) - the best thing to do, I think, is let them solve it themselves.
The worse we can do as a fandom is start a witch hunt of Monte/Lisa, or even dissect the Monte-Adam relationship. I really think that's their business. *sigh* If I were Adam, I would be kinda frustrated, TBH, by strangers dissecting, obsessing over, talking though my every relationship (and then tweeting it to me). I know it kinda comes with the territory of fame, but I feel like in Adam's fandom it is even worse than usual, precisely because his friends/family have been so embraced.

I'm with you on Adam not owing anything to anyone, but this at least seems more like something that might cause an issue with a friend. |

(I'm not cutting Lisa any slack....we've all been in the exhausted baby raising phase - plus, she tends to whine....A LOT - stopped following her ages ago because of that) Well, having just gotten out of the exhausted baby raising stage (I love the nursery school stage comparatively) and watching my friends continue to go through the multi-kid-completely-drained-please-shoot-me-now-baby/toddler stages....I'm willing to cut Lisa slack if that's what indeed caused today's rant. I swear little kids can be mental health vampires and there are days that you are so drained that even little things can cause you to snap like a twig. Little frustrations - perhaps like your husband's friend not overtly supporting your husband in the way you would ideally wish - that would normally be shrugged off, just loom completely out of proportion. Twitter, however, is indeed the devil tho' if you try to use it as a pressure release valve when your emotions are everywhere. I feel for Lisa, but this was just a bad, bad move which she's gonna have to face in the morning. ETA: If I were her, as soon as I got my wits back together I'd reinstate my Twitter with a "Two hours sleep in two days; lost my mind; pretty please pretend that last night didn't happen" message. I agree. I have triplets and have been wondering for months how Lisa managed with Monte away. I was crazy the few one night business trips my husband took when the girls were little. That said, This proves Twitter is the devil. Things are being said in the heat of the moment that may look clearer in the light of day. This whole thing makes me want to drop from fandom and just buy the album when it comes out. Goodnight. |

Good point kanadie, that had also skimmed across my mind earlier on in Lisa's rant. Or perhaps, Monte hasn't been asked to the Russia/Canadian gigs? I just remembered that someone said to her something about people having no control if label/management made certain decisions and she responded saying that that wasn't the problem - if I recall correctly. |
