Latest Twitrumor -- Adam dropped Monte for Slash. No source for this at all. From what I'm reading - twatters would like it to be Slash. Album #2 is gonna either sink or swim. Adam wants swim. He needs name peeps on his album and collaborations. Monte's music doesn't fit in and he is not well known or established. |

All this horribleness is making me feel sick. Yeah, ditto. I try to be a realist, but I like hearts & flowers and people getting along. Drama sucks. Bottom line for me, though, is that I'm here for Adam. And you said it beautifully earlier today on Twitter. Adam has a good heart. I believe that with all my heart. I don't expect to know all the details of the shit that goes down behind the scenes. But I will support Adam, because I believe in him. End of story. heck the Foo Fighters have a ton of guitar players. Who says you can only have one or two or ??? |

I do not think this is over Adam 2 -- is months ago Adam sad he planned to collaborate with his band on one or two songs -- and meant demos. So there was never any expectation that he would do much collab with Monte.
My theory is that Monte wanted to do some of the old Citizen Vein songs in Russia and Adam said "no". Lisa and Monte put them out on YT for a bit before Adam had them pulled down. It was one of the few times Adam seemed mad at Monte. That was before GNT during rehearsals.

Just a gut feeling, but if this is a falling out with Monte, I bet it isn't about not attending a gig, but possibly Monte's participation with either playing or writing with Adam on Adam #2. I had the same feeling. I remember some interview Monte did recently where he said it was important to have the people you play with be the same as the ones you record with and I thought hmmm...And he did say he was submitting songs. The CV stuff and Monte's solo work just doesn't seem to fit with the other people Adam's working with. If this ends up not blowing over, could Tommy be in a more awkward position? Monte's like a mentor big brother and there's Adam who he seems to worship and owes everything. Ya, this clearly puts Tommy in the middle. But I kind of think of Tommy as a puppy and he can go back and forth and be friends with everyone! |

Yeah, didn't Monte say in some interview a while back that he was writing/submitting songs for Adam#2? Maybe Adam rejected them all?
If that's the case, again, I go back to my mantra-- I'm here for Adam. If he doesn't feel something is right for him and his career, I hope he always feels fine to do what he thinks is best. Sorry, but it makes no sense for Adam to put something on his record unless it's top-notch and fits his vision. Anyone in the biz should know that.
