RE: LISA RANT
So what was it all about? Adam somehow changed by fame and not showing Monte proper loyalty--assuming she WASN'T talking about MBolton. I hope she was, but I don't think so. And even if that's so—and it's a big old case of BSC Glamberts "assuming"--referring to Adam as "his majesty"? Hard to hear tone on twitter, but sounds sarcastic to me.

-A not going to M's gigs? First, ITA that it seems impossible A wouldn't distract from Monte's performance--but how big was Alisan's (Canyons) gig? TyTaylor's (Vintage Trouble)? Then again, how many fans of THOSE bands are AFL devotees? I just don’t know for sure, but I really do think most of Monte's ARE. Honestly, I don't even know the name of "Monte's band."

- A not promoting M enough on twitter? TBH, IIRC Adam has only tweeted about one Monte gig and when I read it, it seemed much less enthusiastic than A's tweets about other musicians. It caused me to wonder momentarily if things were cool between them.

-A not writing with M/not using band in recording sessions? Well, even though Monte worked for Madonna (POP), I didn't KNOW of Monte prior to Adam (also POP) because Prong, etc. is not my cuppa. Totally admire Monte's skills, but have never for a moment thought he and Adam have the same goals musically. If this is case I can see M being disappointed, but also being mature enough to know that friendship should NOT alter A's own artistic vision.

-A not using Monte on his festival dates? I can see where this would be exceedingly painful for Monte—truly. But Lisa said that whatever it is that spurred her disappointment, Monte is fine with it. Maybe she should take a hint from her husband's attitude. It's a business. ADAM's business. If this IS the case, it must have been a hella tough decision for Adam, because I DO believe he is a good friend.

-A saying no to CV songs in Russia? Not out of the realm of possibility, but that'd be a TRUE WTF?!? Adam seems determined NOT to go backwards, much as I would personally like for him to recreate a live performance of every song he's ever sung AND COVER ALL MY FAVS! I DO like some of the CV songs. And I know Monte hinted at one time they might someday be recorded. But knowing Adam, it ain't happening—ever.

-And here's a question for ya—if M just got a long-term gig at VR, how COULD he go to the festivals? Or did he accept this gig because he wasn't asked to go? In which case, wouldn't Lisa be happy he's not leaving home again?

I followed Lisa for about two minutes, right before her other rant about Monte having fun touring while she stayed home with the kids. That was a WTF moment for me, but no biggie, just unfollowed. She reminded me of LP's fiancé and sounded shrewish to me. She CHOSE to marry a MUSICIAN FFS. They CHOSE to have four kids. Life's tough.

I like Monte, and when the subject of who we want to stay in Adam's band came up in a thread long ago, seems like he's been hands down the one member everyone hopes sticks with Adam. But Tommy's always been the one I find irreplaceable. I think Monte is a really good guitarist—but I do not think his preferred style of music fits Adam's at all, and no other guitarist will ever be able to give fan service/loving friendship the way Tommy has IMO.

Also, quite frankly, I was at the buses for 4/5 of the GNT's I went to, and Monte WAS friendly three of those times, but NOT as much as other band members. And one time, he was truly rude to a Tommy fan (perhaps some would think for good reason—tired of the "give this to Tommy" requests). So I've never LOVED Monte—just been very happy that Adam seems to maintain friendships and be loyal.

Naturally, Monte wants to "make it." He's a TOP, too, as anyone who has ever seen him interviewed must realize. He MUST feel just a twinge of natural human envy towards Adam. It must freak him out to know so many of his fans follow him because of A, but I do believe many of them genuinely like him for himself…because he's TALENTED. But I didn't/won't buy his CD. I would buy Cam's. I would buy Scarlett's. I just like their music better. And whereas M's talented, Adam is simply EXCEPTIONAL.

It will all work out the way it's supposed to. I "trust" that it will, because I KNOW Adam operates from a place of love. I wish the best for all of his friends and family. But they have benefitted from having A's spotlight turned on THEIR talents--which is wonderful. (With a small side of not-so-wonderful, just like Adam owing AI for the platform that intro'd him to the world, with the small downside that entails.)

I don't think this is a bad thing. None of them have taken advantage of anyone. IMO, why would anyone give anything to/buy anything from one of his friends just because of their association? So I don’t see it as anyone riding on Adam's coattails. Just being smart and taking advantage of opportunities.

STILL, ADAM GETS TO DRAW THE LINE (that fine, hard line, poor bb) where his own art is concerned. Adam is the man I stan, and though I'd be perfectly happy for EXACT same lineup for Tour #2, I will always be

And LOL at us for all the theories! All I know for certain is we will NEVER know what really went down or all the particulars of why/when/how--because for all of his supposed lack of filter and #realness, Adam is SMART. He will not overshare anything ever except his extensive knowledge of the Urban Dictionary! ;D

I'm still reading the thread and I'm an hour late for work but......

Playing devil's advocate again but I'm sure that with Adam's new relationship, he no longer needs his friends like he used to. The comment about the mother's day buffet with mom, the Cherrys & Bloody Mary's indicates that he just doesn't want to hang with them like he used to...And with all indication from Lisa who made comments before about not being included in things like they used to, him not coming to the house, etc., they probably already knew that he was doing these gigs without the band & the 2nd album. Plus his not coming to Monte's gigs must of been the frosting on the cake for her. I'm just praying that the hunting nasty wasn't directed at Lisa, that would be unforgivable to Monte. I really hope I'm totally wrong about this, the GNT wouldn't have been the same without all the hard work of all the troupe!

I haven't had a chance to check what all this was about until now and came here to read the thread this morning as twitter from last night was very confusing.

Went to check Lisa's twitter page and it isn't there - or is it just me who doesn't know how to find it?
