Lisa P's pissed off... maybe at Adam, maybe not... Monte's been rejected and scorned... maybe, but maybe not... Slash is replacing Monte... probably not... Warn Willis is talking in riddles and weird shit... he's pissed off maybe, but who the hell knows... Catz, thanks, I can't believe you actually read that whole long-ass post! So VERY GOOD to see you back, having fun here again! I am ready to try to sleep again, but want to share one last thought... Today, while sorting/throwing away old teaching stuff, I found a poster that says: IF YOU WANT SUNSHINE, YOU HAVE TO ACCEPT SHADOWSWell, Adam is sunshine, and I will accept shadows because that's just the way it is. When GNT was over, I felt bereft. How is he ever going to top this, I wondered? Of course he will. He may have a whole different band/a one-man band (goofy Willis), dancers/no dancers, backup singers/tracks, crazy costumes/jeans and tshirt, hair--black/blue/blonde, pomp, emo, shaved--bottom line, I don't care. I'm 99% sure I'll love it. In over two years, he has not done anything to make me love him any less. My admiration just continues to grow. And ya know, Michael Jackson was the last King of Pop. I liked his music. Other than Orianthi, I couldn't tell you the name of a single member of his "band." Adam is SOLO SUNSHINE, and I only hope the shadows that are thrown are high-noon negligible. In short, peeps...DON'T WORRY...BE HAPPY!  He's blessed to even have the opportunity to spread his particular brand of sunshine! And we're blessed to have the opportunity to bask in it! It's a rollercoaster, not a merry-go-round, remember!  (Oh, how I love that speech from Parenthood.) |

Playing devil's advocate again but I'm sure that with Adam's new relationship, he no longer needs his friends like he used to. The comment about the mother's day buffet with mom, the Cherrys & Bloody Mary's indicates that he just doesn't want to hang with them like he used to...And with all indication from Lisa who made comments before about not being included in things like they used to, him not coming to the house, etc., they probably already knew that he was doing these gigs without the band & the 2nd album. Plus his not coming to Monte's gigs must of been the frosting on the cake for her. I'm just praying that the hunting nasty wasn't directed at Lisa, that would be unforgivable to Monte. I really hope I'm totally wrong about this, the GNT wouldn't have been the same without all the hard work of all the troupe! I wonder why you would put it this way-- "he no longer needs his friends like he used to." Everything I've read about Adam, his interviews, his actions toward his friends and family, even toward his fans-- points to a man who values love, friendship and treats people with respect. He doesn't throw his clothes away... somehow I doubt he'd summarily discard his friends. A Mothers Day brunch with his boyfriend, his mother and his old friends the Cherrys indicates nothing more than a desire to spend quality time with people he loves. It does NOT indicate "that he just doesn't want to hang with them (the Pittmans) like he used to." That is quite a leap, and totally unsubstantiated. As for "praying that the hunting nasty wasn't directed at Lisa..." -- Really? I've been a fan of Adam's for two years and one of the things I most admire about him is that he rarely says a nasty word about anyone unless they attack him first. He's leveled honest criticism but never, as far as I know, resorted to name calling and nastiness, and especially not on Twitter. And sure, Glam Nation wouldn't have been the same without the hard work of everyone involved, but let's not forget the reason they were all there. Adam. His hard work. His vision. His generosity in hiring friends to fill important positions. He brought them all along for the ride, and it was glorious.I don't hope you're wrong about your assumptions. I know you're wrong. I assume you read the twitter comment about brunch, Brunch went so looooong, thank you bloody marys...the GQ twitter...Lisa did call him your majesty...Adam is a wonderful entertainer, the best singer of this generation...but remember, he said that he is now getting real! He is a man in love, will be spending most of his time with him, working on the most important project of his life & losing patience with fans, media, and maybe friends! All I said I hope he doesn't burn bridges because an old friend pissed him off. And even though he is an alien from planet fierce, he's also so deliciously human! |

I have no idea, only some guesses. *I think Sauli would totally understand "fan service" IF Adam performs some songs where he FEELS the sexy is appropriate. If Adam chooses to do this and Sauli objected--I would imagine Adam might not accept that. I think Adam will do what he feels is natural to him. On the other hand, it may not feel natural to Adam. But I know he'll always want to be accepted for who he is and have HIS artistic choices respected. *I think there's a chance Adam may never provide the same LEVEL of "fan service" again, but will still want a guitarist who is totally okay with goofing around, having rock 'n roll fun with no inhibitions/judgments. I do NOT think Monte is homophobic in the least, but I often questioned his level of comfort with Adam's on-stage antics during GNT. Tommy, on the other hand, ENJOYED Adam's shenanigans. In other words, I don't know! But I want Adam to do what makes him happy--period. |

I'm sure business is business, but it doesn't hurt old friends any less when people move along! I'm sure dreams were shared, but sometimes it doesn't work out. Adam must move along, but I didn't mean that he ever needed them business wise, this man could work with anyone he chooses! I mean real friendships, the friends that knew him before he became ADAM! He might regret losing his old friends, just hope everyone can work it out without slashing & burning!
