Hoopla I'm too busy at work right now but I gotta say how MUCH I LOVE YOU AND YOUR POSTS AND YOUR PATIENCE TO EXPLAIN TO SOME PEOPLE THE OBVIOUS.  OK I GOTTA WORK NOW. BBL. LOL, Gelly, if you only knew! I saw stuff on twitter and I couldn't believe/understand Lisa's tweets and when I finally got it, it wasn't pretty. Very uncharitable comments. No patience at all. But then I thought about how many mistakes I make and how young these people are and how I was at their age, and the sunshine/shadows thing...and so now I'm fine. With all of it. Ya know, my first thought when I was having trouble getting the big picture was I GOTTA GO TO ATOP. I will be able to put it in context a little, cause they'll have it documented chronologically! (I'm so OCD--or as my niece says, CDO--put those letters in alphabetical order!!) Sure enough, it was all here, with some bonus insights thrown in. That's why I lurve Atop! I don't like drama, but I do like to understand the bare bones truth of a "shadow" if at all possible. Not that I do, but it's not for lack of trying tonight! |

It can't feel good for Adam to have, as it appears to me, lost Monte as a friend. Warnwillis' tweets suggest to me he shares an opinion that Adam has undervalued his bandmates (i.e., Adam will be playing "kazoo" and be a one-man band). Wow - I hope they don't become "public" enemies and trash talk Adam more. Where does that leave Adam's friendship with Tommy I wonder, who has really cliqued and joined forces with Monte. I even recall Adam's dad saying, "don't break up the band," at some point - I wonder what if any feedback Adam will be getting from him . . . Damn. ETA: I think Adam was tweeting club kid pics 'cuz he was thinking about the past. Maybe part distraction and part nostalgia.  |

Maybe he's trying to explain his new hair or reminding Monte the good old days when Monte gave him a platform other then chorus boy in Wicked....

You're assuming Monte is not happy with Lisa, Gelly. What makes you think that he's just unhappy with his wife? Glad it's so obvious to you, you really think that song was to bash his wife? He must love Adam a lot.... Still playing devil's advocate, eh?  Isn't it very likely that Monte loves both Adam AND his wife, and is perhaps a little disappointed in both (rightly or wrongly, who's to say?) due to decisions they've made that are beyond his control? Whatever the case, Monte may be the worst offender of the three for tweeting the link to that godawful vid! (I keed, I keed!) ETA: Monte's good turn/smart decision to hire the best singer he knew got him a touring gig with Adam didn't it? IIRC, CV did not get Adam a recording contract. Adam's decision to go balls out on AI is what landed him his current success. (And maybe years of honing his craft had something to do with it, too.) Really good friends don't keep score, anyway. They just do what they can/when they can and don't expect anything in return... But we ARE all only human, so it gets pretty damned complicated. |

Playing devil's advocate again but I'm sure that with Adam's new relationship, he no longer needs his friends like he used to. The comment about the mother's day buffet with mom, the Cherrys & Bloody Mary's indicates that he just doesn't want to hang with them like he used to...And with all indication from Lisa who made comments before about not being included in things like they used to, him not coming to the house, etc., they probably already knew that he was doing these gigs without the band & the 2nd album. Plus his not coming to Monte's gigs must of been the frosting on the cake for her. I'm just praying that the hunting nasty wasn't directed at Lisa, that would be unforgivable to Monte. I really hope I'm totally wrong about this, the GNT wouldn't have been the same without all the hard work of all the troupe! I wonder why you would put it this way-- "he no longer needs his friends like he used to." Everything I've read about Adam, his interviews, his actions toward his friends and family, even toward his fans-- points to a man who values love, friendship and treats people with respect. He doesn't throw his clothes away... somehow I doubt he'd summarily discard his friends. A Mothers Day brunch with his boyfriend, his mother and his old friends the Cherrys indicates nothing more than a desire to spend quality time with people he loves. It does NOT indicate "that he just doesn't want to hang with them (the Pittmans) like he used to." That is quite a leap, and totally unsubstantiated. As for "praying that the hunting nasty wasn't directed at Lisa..." -- Really? I've been a fan of Adam's for two years and one of the things I most admire about him is that he rarely says a nasty word about anyone unless they attack him first. He's leveled honest criticism but never, as far as I know, resorted to name calling and nastiness, and especially not on Twitter. And sure, Glam Nation wouldn't have been the same without the hard work of everyone involved, but let's not forget the reason they were all there. Adam. His hard work. His vision. His generosity in hiring friends to fill important positions. He brought them all along for the ride, and it was glorious. I don't hope you're wrong about your assumptions. I know you're wrong. I agree 100%, aloha! These assumptions are just that, assumptions. One of the things that irks me to no end in this fandom is when people assume they know Adam and the people in his life. We do not know Adam personally. We do not know the people in his life personally. Why or how would we assume we know what they're thinking or why they do and say what they do? outlawbooster you say that you're sure that Adam no longer needs his friends like he used to. Can I ask you how you know this? Have you had a private conversation with Adam? I'm willing to bet the answer is no! Have you thought about the scenario of Adam attending one of Monte's shows? Adam is past the point of being able to attend a small show and not be recognized and have the focus not be on him. Do you realize that the majority of people who attend these shows are Adam fans? He would steal Monte's thunder. I don't understand why in the world Lisa would ever want Adam at one of Monte's shows, if this is even the root of her rant! I'd like to end this by saying, for me, Adam is the reason I got into this. His career is the one I care about. Adam is the reason I come to Adamtopia. Adam is the reason I will be staying for a long, long time! |

Hey:) Isn't 6 Feet Under one of the bands that will be playing in Russia, too? Or am I wrong on that? The possibility that Monte is telling Adam that he's "dead to him" is really, really sad. |

Ha...I don't think Monte gave Adam a platform for anything. He played guitar at Zodiac...yes they tried writing and forming a band. Didn't work very well. While I always got the impression they were friendly and certainly friends in once sense, I never got the idea that they hung out together. Even on tour. Adam took his future into his own hands. |

(I really think all "outlaw" meant was that it's likely Adam doesn't have as much TIME as he used to and/or perhaps, he has a lot of work AND a new signif other meeting his creative/other needs and there are only so many hours in the day.)
