I wonder why you would put it this way-- "he no longer needs his friends like he used to." Everything I've read about Adam, his interviews, his actions toward his friends and family, even toward his fans-- points to a man who values love, friendship and treats people with respect. He doesn't throw his clothes away... somehow I doubt he'd summarily discard his friends. A Mothers Day brunch with his boyfriend, his mother and his old friends the Cherrys indicates nothing more than a desire to spend quality time with people he loves. It does NOT indicate "that he just doesn't want to hang with them (the Pittmans) like he used to." That is quite a leap, and totally unsubstantiated. As for "praying that the hunting nasty wasn't directed at Lisa..." -- Really? I've been a fan of Adam's for two years and one of the things I most admire about him is that he rarely says a nasty word about anyone unless they attack him first. He's leveled honest criticism but never, as far as I know, resorted to name calling and nastiness, and especially not on Twitter. And sure, Glam Nation wouldn't have been the same without the hard work of everyone involved, but let's not forget the reason they were all there. Adam. His hard work. His vision. His generosity in hiring friends to fill important positions. He brought them all along for the ride, and it was glorious. I don't hope you're wrong about your assumptions. I know you're wrong. I agree 100%, aloha! These assumptions are just that, assumptions. One of the things that irks me to no end in this fandom is when people assume they know Adam and the people in his life. We do not know Adam personally. We do not know the people in his life personally. Why or how would we assume we know what they're thinking or why they do and say what they do? outlawbooster you say that you're sure that Adam no longer needs his friends like he used to. Can I ask you how you know this? Have you had a private conversation with Adam? I'm willing to bet the answer is no! Have you thought about the scenario of Adam attending one of Monte's shows? Adam is past the point of being able to attend a small show and not be recognized and have the focus not be on him. Do you realize that the majority of people who attend these shows are Adam fans? He would steal Monte's thunder. I don't understand why in the world Lisa would ever want Adam at one of Monte's shows, if this is even the root of her rant! I'd like to end this by saying, for me, Adam is the reason I got into this. His career is the one I care about. Adam is the reason I come to Adamtopia. Adam is the reason I will be staying for a long, long time! I am sure that Adam having Sauli DOES change the way he socializes with his friends...he is no longer needing friends to go places, watching movies, etc. He's got Sauli! Maybe he's to busy for the mundane things that make up friendships, but I am hoping for the best! Hopefully, he doesn't lose the people that love him for him! Not us fans, who really don't know him!

Maybe he's trying to explain his new hair or reminding Monte the good old days when Monte gave him a platform other then chorus boy in Wicked.... Ha...I don't think Monte gave Adam a platform for anything. He played guitar at Zodiac...yes they tried writing and forming a band. Didn't work very well. While I always got the impression they were friendly and certainly friends in once sense, I never got the idea that they hung out together. Even on tour. Adam took his future into his own hands. So you left 'Wicked' to become a rock star?
I came back [to Los Angeles] and took some promo shots and started rehearsing. We had a handful of songs. I don’t know if any of them were great, but it was a start. At the time, we believed in them. We did a couple gigs here and there. The band was called the Citizen Vein. We performed at the Knitting Factory one night, the Cat Club on Sunset, and a club in Hermosa Beach. We did three gigs and that was it and we recorded a couple things, like rough recordings, and I don’t know, it didn’t quite click.

This is so very sad, something big has obviously happened. To me it looks as though the band may have been dropped. The Pittman's must be very upset, but that certainly was not the way to handle it.
I can't even imagine how difficult the conversation between Adam and Monte was (whatever the conversation was). I am glad that Adam has someone to go home to.
And how hurt Adam must be that they took it to twitter.
From day one, I worried about him working with close friends.

Oh no,, i had feelings and you are welcome to scroll ,,,, Ya know this music that Adam is working on now is what i have been waiting for,, does he have any clue what his voice does to most of us probably not, (or maybe sortof), but he does know how to express himself thru his art and for me it's a case of containing my shit until he is ready. It's like a build up of energy,, very powerful,, those of us that love Adam feel it and those that like to stir the shit are also aware of it,,, i have serious trust issues with people in my real life,, but i trust Adam,, i am watching him transition and damn it is really fascinating,, I learnt not to long ago that life is easier for me when i go with the flow,, wish i had years ago but still ,, I never assume anything about anyone total waste of time, and lol i was usually wrong,,, watching this process that Adam is going through ,, smiling as i see him reaching out and taking those of us that are willing along for the journey,, just ,wow , hot damn,, I am so glad that i stan this fabulous man,,,, I love change ,, it is what makes life so damn interesting and exciting ,,, Shit ,, that feels better been trying to put that into words for about a month now,, damn stuff takes ages to sort out in my brain sometimes,,, still not sure if it exactly says what is flitting around in my brain, oh well,,

Maybe he's trying to explain his new hair or reminding Monte the good old days when Monte gave him a platform other then chorus boy in Wicked.... This is a sarcasm that I dont like. Monte didnt give him a platform. Monte is not Madonna. He is a musician and he was trying to find THE BEST VOICE THERE IS. And they worked TOGETHER. IF someone gave platform to someone, its Adam, NOW. ADAM IS GIVING PLATFORM TO EVERYONE. I'm tired.....

Lesson learned for Adam....don't hire friends. Sad but true.
Love that he has managed to keep his friends (people that he actually hung around with, not Monte)....the Cherry, Alisan, Danielle. These are the ones he had been close to. Never appeared to hang with Monte, although certainly another type of friend.
It is sad that people he trusted turned on him.

Still playing devil's advocate, eh? Isn't it very likely that Monte loves both Adam AND his wife, and is perhaps a little disappointed in both (rightly or wrongly, who's to say?) due to decisions they've made that are beyond his control? Whatever the case, Monte may be the worst offender of the three for tweeting the link to that godawful vid! I keed, I keed!) Hey:) Isn't 6 Feet Under one of the bands that will be playing in Russia, too? Or am I wrong on that? The possibility that Monte is telling Adam that he's "dead to him" is really, really sad. Well, to be technical in a from-the-horse's-mouth way "We are going to eat you" is what Monte's tweet says "sums it all up for him." Can be taken many ways, all better than "You are dead to me." Seriously, IF their friendship has hit a bump, it's not the end of the world. I just really agree that the bond of loyalty that has truly been broken--the only one we know of as fact--is between Lisa and Adam. And she's brought this all on herself. But as she tweeted: "I don't care." Alrighty then. This (whatever this is) is PRIVATE business. Or SHOULD HAVE BEEN. It is simply not very professional, not to mention disloyal. But, bridget, MONTE didn't actually SAY anything. And I hope neither he nor Adam do say anything. I don't think we should be privvy to private stuff unless ADAM chooses to share. It's sad, but it's gonna be okay. They'll all get through it and so will we.

So this apparent dissing of Adam seems to be the first chink in the armor. People close to him have have really not uttered a bad word about him. Even though we don't know what is happening, I find it a bit sad.

I assume you read the twitter comment about brunch, Brunch went so looooong, thank you bloody marys...the GQ twitter...Lisa did call him your majesty...Adam is a wonderful entertainer, the best singer of this generation...but remember, he said that he is now getting real! He is a man in love, will be spending most of his time with him, working on the most important project of his life & losing patience with fans, media, and maybe friends! All I said I hope he doesn't burn bridges because an old friend pissed him off. And even though he is an alien from planet fierce, he's also so deliciously human! I read all of the above and I'm sorry I just don't see how it's Adam who is burning bridges here? I read Lisa's tweets and I don't follow her or anyone else from the band except Tommy so I don't have a clue what she's like nor do I care. But I do think it really does show who can remain loyal and who can't and it's not Adam who has the problem from what I can see. Let's get real here for a minute.... Monte's project wouldn't have been funded without Adam's fans (neither would the Cherry's) and IMO Adam's fans are also the one's supporting Monte's gigs. I think it's pretty stupid of Lisa to talk veiled shit about Adam and still think that Adam's fans will continue to support Monte. Does she really think that is going to happen? I wouldn't be surprised if 9 times out of 10 Adam's fans went to his shows hoping that Adam would show up and that seems highly unlikely now IMO. Twitter is a pretty ridiculous place to air your griveances with someone and especially someone with a large and fiercely loyal fanbase.

Funny...I got the impression from your posts that you know Adam...
Real friends are happy that he has someone to share his life with. My best friend for life lives in London for 25 years now. She is still my best friend even though I gont go to the movies with her and I see her twice a year.
