Love The Light . Heavy Fire comes after The Light so I don't give it much attention since I'm still feeling The Light...LOL. Isn't HF the song Adam said he fought to have on the Album? Seems to me he said it in one of the interviews but can't remember where. When I play TOH I find myself trying to sing high...LOL, but it's a great song and I love it! TOH on iHeart facebook is just a pleasure for me to watch and listen to. He looks great and sounds fantastic. Love when he sucks in his breath (or some sexy sound). www.facebook.com/iheartradio/videos/vb.55354819171/10153444530759172/?type=2&theater

Adam Lambert Dreams of Originating a Role on Broadway
By Andrew Gans 02 Jul 2015
Adam Lambert, the "American Idol" finalist who also appeared in the national tour of Wicked, discussed the idea of playing Broadway with radio.com. Lambert, who possesses a rangy, soaring tenor, said, "If I were going to do a musical, I would want it to be something new. I’d want to originate something. I wouldn’t want to step into something that the last guy did." It was recently reported that the singer turned down an invitation to star in the Tony-winning revival of Hedwig and the Angry Inch. "I’ve heard that Broadway is in a good space right now: the shows are good and people are wanting to see them which is fantastic," Lambert added. "So, if it were the right project that felt interesting I would be into it. For me personally it would have to feel different. "As somebody who has been doing theater since I was a kid… I think that contemporary theater has a very specific sound and approach and a lot of people sound exactly the same in the way they sing the material, and do the scenes, and it’s become homogenized. And it’s hard for me to sit and watch some of it, because it doesn’t feel organic or that it has any vibe. It feels 'trained.' And I can’t place the blame on the performers: everybody needs to get work. But it’s this style, so people say, 'That’s what’s working, I’ve got to do it like this.'"

Just adding my thoughts to the conversation about the song The Original High. The whole album is a delight and a major win for Adam and his team. However, the very first time I heard the title song, I only got as far as the second time Adam sings the word "comfort." I can't even describe how sexy his voice resonates when he utters that word. Kept having to hear the whole song over and over again. The beat is infectious, the lyrics are cool {a big must for radio, I think,} and the message of the song is so universal. Who hasn't longed for that summer day, long ago, when....? But, above all, it;s that second time he sings COMFORT..... I ccompletely agree with and understand everything you just wrote, but for me that visceral sexy vocal hit comes in the very first line "I've got a need for speed and on a hot night..," gah, I'm gone!! Uh huh...me too.

This conversation regarding TOH (carried on from yesterday) is quite interesting. It seems to be the only song on the album that people feel strongly about..one way or the other. I have to join several U.K. / Europeans and also of course "some" US members when I say I am not a lover of TOH. I was hoping by today I could tell you exactly why..but I can't, sorry. It does nothing for me. My favourite by a long stretch is THE LIGHT. I could just play that over and over. I also like Lucy. and Shame is brilliant. I love all the tracks -- so not choosing. But I wonder if the divide is by genre and not be geography. There songs that seem to be less favorite for some are the dance pop tracks -- and of the dance pop track, the most dance pop, gay club worthy track on the album is TOH. It does not even need a remix. Are you a pop-rock and rock music fan? Versus dance pop fan? TOH is a club song, a dance song. Maybe that is why you are not a fan of it. "The Light" is a pop-rock anthem. Whoa!! I think of these songs exactly the opposite of you! The Light is dance club ready! No remix necessary! I think Lyndsey even said that in her review! I know one young UK member who loves TOH & TL, not so much! TOH is very Pop Rock to me!

Whenever I play the album the first one I go to & keep replaying is "The Light" just LOOOOOVVVEEE it!! All my kids love it too. I just find I listen to that one a lot. I do LOVE the songs on this album a lot more then those on Trespassing but loved them at the time & still do like a lot of them. Sometimes, I wonder if it's just because it's been so long since we've heard new music from him but no, I TRULY LOVE so many of them it's just so hard to pick. Only one I skip over really is "Heavy Fire" even my 4 yr. old comes over & skips it if it's playing on my Ipad on Spotify since it usually plays after "The Light", she'll usually say, "No Heavy Fire mom, The Light" and then she plays "The Light" again. I think that song would be a hit single for sure, but probably no chance of that. TOH, I think would be a great single & would be a hit on the radio, but now with our feedback here it seems a lot of people don't like it so now I'm not as sure. I think ALN is awesome, I think this could be a hit too, but the "moo" just not sure what would happen with that on the radio?? Would love if TOH could be a single end of July or early August though since it feels so summery to me.

Another thing I wanted to say about singles in general is yes, they are an odd thing about what people like. The song "Cheerleader" my husband was singing after only hearing it 2x's & said he loves it. My girls love it too, saw that it was #2 on the European chart as well as being huge here on the US charts now too. It's just such a catchy song with an amazing hook & we all LOVE it. That song seemed to shoot right to the top almost immediately, but I'm not sure if that's the case or not but seemed like they just started playing it a few wks ago & it's already huge all over the world. I don't listen to radio that much, I kind of flip through & try to find Ghost Town & then listen for a bit until I can't find a song I like then I switch back to Adam & TOH.

It's been climbing for a bit, did not shoot to the top here. At least not like Selena & Demi's songs have.
