Yes, I did catch James' final pitch problems!! -- even I heard that -- but it must be hard to sing when you want to cry. But I bet Adam could!!!

I know we're about done for tonite. Today as I was filling up the tank on my old car, I told someone how a 'friend' recommended I should never be without a tank of gas. That 'friend' is "bamafan" - who I've never met, but who gave me good advice. That's the way I think about everyone here. You are my friends. You give me advice. You are intelligent and snarky and sweet and sexy and bring joy to me. You helped me through my fear with Penelope - By the way, she now has the fattest little cheeks I've ever had the privilege to kiss. Tomorrow we will say goodbye to our cocker spaniel, Cameo. She is thirteen, and her story is too sweet and too sad for me to say tonight. I come here because there is nowhere else to go to cry before I sleep. I know all of you fearless people understand. She is a good girl, and she knows I love her. It's so hard to know it's time. Someone says there's a rainbow for our selfless, loving companions. Where? Since this is a mostly dead thread, and a slow day, please indulge me in posting this message to momtomany. We who have loved and said good-bye to our dear four legged friends DO understand and cry with you. Here's the poem of the Rainbow Bridge. Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart. Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together.... Damn you have me balling my eyes out !!! momtomany - you are doing the right thing - you can't let them suffer.

K ~ I might be a TOTAL bitch in saying this - but YO DUDE.......... James' final song was a bit pitchy! Was a heartfelt goodbye, though! <3! Next to go...... Lauren! Just my opinion! I'm team Haley allllll the way! As Adam said she is effortlessly BADASS! Went back & watched her earlier stuff (wasn't always home to see real-time) incredible! Hope she wins - in my mind she's the winner already! But, you never know...............................!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She can only win if Scotty and Lauren split votes. With Lauren gone then anything can happen.

In so many ways they are as precious as our children, and stay in our hearts long after they have gone from our lives. Hugs, Momtomany - I'll be thinking of you tomorrow...

momtomany, big hugs for you. Hardest thing I ever did was putting down my sweet 14 year old Golden Retriever. Just think of the great life she had with you, though. She could have ended up with any family, but she was lucky enough to end up with you!

Pia managed before breaking into sobs...finished the song on key first. One thought I have....the judges and others have often commented on how different it sounds on the TV. Perhaps the judges should sit in a booth where they listen to the feed we all hear at home rather than getting caught up in the live frenzy. What do you think Cassie?

I had to put my 18 yr old Bearded Collie down a few years ago. You know Cameo feels your love. And I, like you, questioned, how will I know when it is the right time. The day I had to say good bye.....I just knew... I felt it and I held my dog in my arms and told her it was ok....she could rest now because I think she stayed around a couple years longer than she might have wanted because I was going through a very rough period of my life and she wanted to me there for me. She went to sleep in my arms and I know she will be there to meet me someday at the Rainbow Bridge with her beautiful tail wagging and licking my face. I still think about her a lot and smile as I remember her wonderful spirit. Sending you warm {{HUGS}} and I will be thinking of you tomorrow.
