Cassie. And everyone. I just petted my girl. She is sleeping in her blanket. Unaware of her fate. Which makes it so sad. None of us wants to play god. But it is time. I'll save one more moment for tomorrow before I head to the hospital - I'm leaving the hardest part to the other half of me. I am so grateful for the faces I've never seen. ((((momtomany)))) I know your pain only too well. I'm so sorry. I'm glad Cassie brought you the Rainbow Bridge Poem. I was going to and saw she beat me to it. I've read it many times over the years. It has always comforted me. I have many furries waiting at the Bridge for me. Your dear Cameo is very lucky to have had you in her life. I know she has been well loved, as you are such a loving person. This is the last, best gift you can give to her. It will hurt your heart...no doubt about that. But, she has trusted you all these years. She trusts you to do the right thing now. And, you are. I will light a candle for Cameo tomorrow, to guide her to the Rainbow Bridge. May the wonderful memories you have shared over the years somehow comfort you and give you peace. We will all hold you close in our hearts.

Dearest momtomany, as someone who has had to make this painful journey five times in the last four years, my heart goes out to you. {{{HUGS}}} It is the greatest gift that we can give to our beloved furry friends and yes, we do know instinctively when the 'time is right', despite our hearts breaking into pieces at the thought of it. Tomorrow surround your beloved Cameo in an aura of pink and white - love and pure spirit - she will know. For me, the return journey from the vet is harder in many ways, as you make the trip back with a heavy heart and aching, empty arms. It is one of the reasons that I always get my babies cremated, because I can bring their ashes home for them to rest. Full circle completed. Love and light for you both tomorrow.

Momtomany, Wish I could take your pain away! However, as someone who has gone through what you are going to, I know you are thinking about your dear friend's best, and sometimes it just hurts to do the right thing. Hugs, kisses, strenght and love to you for tomorrow!
