Yes, I did catch James' final pitch problems!! -- even I heard that -- but it must be hard to sing when you want to cry. But I bet Adam could!!! Pia managed before breaking into sobs...finished the song on key first. One thought I have....the judges and others have often commented on how different it sounds on the TV. Perhaps the judges should sit in a booth where they listen to the feed we all here at home rather than getting caught up in the live frenzy. What do you think Cassie? I have also read the comments on how different things sound live than on TV. But, a pitch is either on or off. Maybe by a little, maybe by a lot. The balance of the vocals and the instruments might be different with the sound feed on TV vs. live. You might not be able to hear the voice over the instruments live, but can on the TV feed. There might be more reverberation in the live room that is not picked up by the TV mics, making the tone or timbre of the voice sound different. But, with my limited knowledge of the physics of sound, I can't think of an explanation for how certain pitches in the voice would be off, but not the entire voice, and not the instruments as well. |

I just petted my girl. She is sleeping in her blanket. Unaware of her fate. Which makes it so sad. None of us wants to play god.
But it is time. I'll save one more moment for tomorrow before I head to the hospital - I'm leaving the hardest part to the other half of me.
I am so grateful for the faces I've never seen.

Momtomany -- Having said goodbye to 3 kitties, I certainly know what you are going through. My thoughts are with you and your family. Make sure you allow yourself time to grieve and take care. Cameo knows she is loved and that you have her best interests at heart, and that is the best gift you can give her (even though it is so tough to do). Blessings to you all.
