Well, Pop is a nice surprise! Was expecting big negatives because of last Weds. update! WOOT! Yay on increased AIs!! GT might finally be sticking around on Sirius Hits One. Up to 19 spins and #45 on its playlist! Also, the SD station that added yesterday has 2 spins this morning on "starters!" My little research project at 97.3 continues to be awesome. It is now spinning 7 - 8 times a day! Half of those spins are quality times. Couldn't generate the playlist yesterday but the day before it was up to 40 spins - close to the 42 peak when Adam came to town. This is not an iHeart station. Competing with Y-100 which is and they are only doing 2 spins a day. I checked both Spotify channels after reading the posts on GT close to peaking. Thrilled that it seems to have taken hold. I vote every day on 4 different devices and hoping everyone else is as well. Your constant reminders on twitter are awesome. I am still enamored with the jellyfish analogy. GT is holding on watching the fish dart by and the dead fish go back to the shore but all the time the current is slowing moving it in the right direction. 23 this week and 22 the next week unless Mama drops out of the top 10 by Sunday then we get a little "jump" to 22. After that it looks like slow going until the 3 big daddies (TS, Harmony, Omi) at the top leak their losing spins at a faster rate or the girls (Demi, Selena, Rachel) and the boys (Bieber, Major Lazer, Ed)) gain more momentum and start passing them. Once GT gets passed by some hot shot song, I don't mind if it darts up 'cause it opens the possibility of more room to move up. I ain't writing no obituary for GT yet unless more terrors from the deep yawing caves below come screaming along. |

It will be 23 this week when Mama drops below 10, probably tomorrow or Friday. Currently 25 with Guetta and Grammer going recurrent. There is no chance for 22 this week unless GT passes someone on its own. Omarion might be starting to drop but it's only been one day of a big minus for them. 5th Harmony could be below 10 next week and Wiz is dropping pretty fast, so 22 or 21 is a strong possibility for next week, on the 23rd.

I printed out the list.
Assuming nothing flying up the chart from below and GT doing its jellyfish and maintaining and increasing spins:
Andy Grammar and Hey Mama (if it drops below 10), has us looking at 23 this week
Nothing the following week unless something drops below GT on its own (or GT grows some fins and swims)
22 when Wiz drops below the last weekend in August
Fifth Harmony a wild card since it is already recurrent could drop below 10 anywhere in this mix before the end of August
Does that about sum it up?

I don't use KWORB for recurrents, I use Pulse (not sure if they have the same info for it but Pulse has been 100% correct so far.) According to Pulse, WIZ goes recurrent on 8/30, but I think it will be below GT by then. Hoping it drops below by the 23rd So depending on 5th Harmony, there is a good chance for 22 or even 21 on the 23rd. After that, I don't see much movement above GT. GT needs to pick up spins to get into top 20. |
