Adam Lambert is back with a new music video for the somber "Another Lonely Night," the follow-up to his "Ghost Town" lead single from The Original High and it's an impactful clip about, as you might have guessed, feeling lonely.
For the video, the "American Idol" alum teamed up with a director he's known for quite some time. "I’ve known Luke Gilford for years. We run in some of the same circles in LA," he exclusively told iHeartRadio, before admitted that they recently bumped into each other at a party.
"I knew that when it came time to do this music video, that he would be the perfect director," he said. "He leads with the heart and his instinct and is very passionate about the work that he does. He has an incredible eye for the unique."
The video for "Another Lonely Night" explores the emotions that Vegas entertainers feel before, during and after creating life for Sin City. "When the lights turn off and the costumes get put away, many struggle with the feeling of loneliness. I wanted to paint a picture that wasn’t necessarily happy or sad, but showed the entire range in between," he continued.
In the clip, Adam plays a lounge singer, who takes the stage at famed restaurant Peppermill to perform for Las Vegas tourists. His performance is intercut with scenes of other entertainers (a stripper, showgirl and wedding minister) doing their duties, only to come home to themselves. Shout out to transgender Youtube sensation Gigi Gorgeous' appearance in the clip. The feeling is real, people.
"Having real restaurant patrons made for a very interesting dynamic because people were coming in and leaving and not really knowing what was going on. It kind of heightened the awkwardness, which increased the emotional tension of the video, and added to the spontaneity of connection," he added of his scenes.

Paul McCartney once asked "All the lonely people, where do they all come from?", and Adam Lambert has finally given us the answer: Las Vegas.
The impersonal glitz of Sin City is the setting for Lambert's music video for "Another Lonely Night," one of the very best tracks (and second single) from his third album The Original High.
The clip follows four lonely people as they go about their daily routine, performing for smiling tourists while nursing wounds on the inside. Lambert is a stylish nightclub singer (not too hard to imagine), another guy is a fireman stripper with Magic Mike moves, one woman officiates quickie Vegas weddings, and another is a chorus girl.
The video concludes as lonely as it started, though at least a couple of these sad souls have dogs. Watch the sad, lovely clip below.

The video opens with Lambert lying alone in bed in just a white vest.
"I don't give a f**k if the sun comes up," he sings. "It's just another, another day, another lonely night."
And then we see the vest coming off to flash a muscular torso…

The video shows the lonely lives of performers
Lambert reveals that the song is about the way all performers feel.
"The main theme of the video is exploring how many entertainers tend to feel the most connected and alive while they are creating," he says.
"When the lights turn off and the costumes get put away, many struggle with the feeling of loneliness.
"I wanted to paint a picture that wasn’t necessarily happy or sad, but showed the entire range in between”.
One person who would like to make him feel less lonely is Robbie Williams, who recently gushed that he'd like to hook up with Adam Lambert.

The video follows the stories of a voluptuous showgirl, a beautiful blonde woman and handsome male stripper.
We see them at work as they lap up the attention, but we also see their loneliness when they come off stage.
Lambert, of course, is also shown performing in a white suit against a shiny, glittery curtain.
Whether or not it is him of the handsome stripper pulling off the white vest is a matter of opinion…
Either way, his millions of fans are unlikely to complain.
Adam Lambert's UK fans can look forward from another visit from their idol soon.
The US superstar will be flying in for a special appearance on Alan Carr: Chattyman this autumn.
He has just returned from headlining Rock in Rio with Queen, which garnered incredible reviews and The Original High hit top 3 in the worldwide album charts.
That should help the poor lad cope with those Lonely Nights…

Several years ago I went to a Halloween party with some friends in LA, and there was a guy I'd never met before named Adam. I had no idea who he was but he seemed pretty funny and sweet. When we went out later that night, people were continuously coming up to him and asking if he was Adam Lambert. Because it was Halloween, he kept saying "no, I'm dressed up as Adam Lambert". I knew his name was Adam though, so I thought the whole thing was really confusing and funny. Since then, I've met a lot more entertainers, both famous and not, and most of them seem to have something in common. They receive this *amazing* energy high on stage, but when the curtain comes down, there can be an incredible sense of alienation too. When Adam said he was working with the legendary producer #MaxMartin on his new album, I was so excited for what they'd make together. After hearing #AnotherLonelyNight, I immediately thought of that night on Halloween with Adam years ago. When Adam asked me to direct the video, I suggested that we go to Las Vegas - the most lonely city in the world. We cast real entertainers there and heard their stories (except when the wedding chapel lady wouldn't let us shoot her, the incredible Gigi Gorgeous stepped in to give a really moving performance as her instead ). ‘The Original High’ debuted in the US Billboard Top 3, the UK Top 10 and the Worldwide Top 3, sending Adam’s sales to over 2.5 million units worldwide.
Adam has just returned from headlining ‘Rock in Rio’ with Queen which garnered incredible reviews: No Meu Sofa called him “a showman, charismatic, with stage presence and huge talent”, O Globo said “Adam Lambert leaves everyone open-mouthed with his high notes”, with R7 adding “Adam Lambert gives a show with his powerful vocal range.
