Missed my train, am freezing at the train station. My body hurts. Won't be home before 2 am and my kids will wake me up early. There is drunk people around me. And I feel deliriously happy!!! He was so fucking good. And handsome. He saw me. I saw him. I was so proud, he was such a superstar tonight. Ahhh I've just seen this and immediately my heart stopped, and I'm thinking, 'Don't worry, honey, I'll come and get you!' 11 hours too late! Glad you did get home safely, sweetheart, and that it was such a brilliant night!

Something seemed different to me. He was so comfortable, so very gorgeous, and wailed like a MF!!!!! I think there were a few factors that combined into a "perfect storm": 1. Singing for a full arena of people triggers the "infinity sign" energy exchange he loves so much. 2. It was also the familiar stage of his QAL concert "last year", which was this year really 3. He was singing in The Netherlands, one of the countries (besides Poland) where Ghost Town was an actual big hit, so I think he knew the audience would be on board and familiar with the songs (see 1.). 4. Singing only 3 songs means the "energy management" is different - in a recent interview he was asked about the hardest thing about touring, and he answered something along the lines of "managing my voice to deliver consistent performances". But when he has to sing only 3 songs on a festival night, he can put all energy in them without the need to distribute power across 2 hours and over multiple weeks. 5. The sound mix was stellar, and he sang over a familiar backing track without the need to keep connection with a whole band (which was there just for show). I think this made him more relaxed, as it eliminated the possibility of a human error outside of his control. There might have been other factors, too, but this is my speculation I have never enjoyed WWFM this much, and ALN and GT blew me away, too! Love both these posts! Excellent points made, kryptoman68.... ...& glittergma, he sure did wail like an MF!
