SOOO bummed he didn't sing THE LIGHT!!! To add insult to injury he sang the boooring reggae IIHY that nobody wants! Reggae is specially a waste of a slot in a short set! He could have rocked out the new young pop-oriented crowd with THE LIHGT Adam didn't sing my favorite either!!! Which is THERE I SAID IT!!! We ALL have our favorite songs and I wish Adam could always sing everyone's favorites. But that would require a 2 hour show (3 hours if covers are included) as so many different fans have different favorites. That's a good thing! But, the thing that I know is that Adam is VERY good at reading the audience during each show and he as now done a number of these radio shows. So, if he had been seeing at the longer concerts that The Light was resonating stronger than other songs with the demographic that he is trying to win over, then he would be singing that song instead of something else when he has a more limited time slot. Personally, I like TISI, TOH, ALN, & GT a whole lot more than The Light. So I am happy that Adam is almost always singing 3 of my top 4 songs from TOH album! TISI I love because Adam is just so really good singing an emotional ballad. But TOH is the song that I most connect with lyrically. It really describes my emotional journey, especially when I was in my 20's. (And it had NOTHING to do with drugs which is not what this song is about.) Plus, as a dancer, I love the rhythms and rhythm changes in TOH and GT. I find them to be the songs on the album which most make me want to dance!

For me it's the obvious choice for a young crowd.

Maybe for a 20s or 30s crowd, but not for a teens crowd which is what I think this crowd was mostly. Lyrically, it is much more mature that what teens usually go for. And club dance songs are not that big on US radio.

Geez Louise... He came. He sang. Apparently it was good.
Pretty sure nothing else matters, but from a quick scan here... Lucy best ever. It was too rock for tweens. No The Light. But why not there were tweens it would be perfect. IIHY reggae is awful. It's current and makes it interesting for younger audiences. His pants were too baggy and cap is daggy. He was hip and gorgeous. People left early because he said mother fucker. They were trying to beat the traffic. He shouldn't have been last so people didn't leave. But he's the best so of course he was last...
Did I miss anything? Love you all but sometimes all the AAD (Adam Angst Disorder) makes my head hurt.

Omitting The Light has nothing to do with him thinking it didn't resonate with the audience. Someone said people didn't get excited about EITN but he sings it. As I posted before The Light seems to be the only song audience is keen to sing along even over Trespassing finale or Lucy when he encourages the crowd to sing. In every periscope I've seen people cheer The Light loudly, move to it and say how amazing it is. No sign of people not interested in it. It's just that he groups The Light in the "dance section" of the show, then there is a "slow section", and a "rock/funk" section. I think the slow section would have been better shorter. No one would have complained about too many dance songs esp. if they had to listen to a reggae instead. Only 3 uptempo pop songs? The Light brings the right energy for the occasion, and is a current dance song that could please the new young crowd, even more so over a rock hard-to-understand Lucy. TISI doesn't seem the kind of song for a holiday bash show, and non-fans who don't know its message won't get it. It was also noted that it left a gap in concert. Not to mention it is the longest song on the album and with Adam's added effects and need to leave the stage, there is no way it fits into a short set.

Don't have time to go through all of last night's thread, and from what I've seen of it I don't really have to. So somebody else might have asked this all important question: Do those zippers on his shirt really work? I am not getting the image of sliding them up up up out of my head. Damn! Such a sexy man.

They are all remixes of hits that are getting played on the radio regularly. Couldn't be more wrong. Songs get in clubs after they hit radios, and songs particularly get famous and sell when people hear them in clubs. The "obvious" thing is that it has a very current trendy dance construction similar to other top dance hits. If You don't see it, It's because you haven't been in clubs lately or know what's in young people's playlist. It doesn't matter how symbolic the lyrics are, because people rarely care about lyrics but rather they move to the beat, and like it because of how catchy it is.
