Hi, everyone! I've been away from this thread for a while, mainly because I had nothing to report. My goal for the year is my usual " keep up exercising and eating healthy and gain neither weight nor cholesterol but some muscles". I did pretty well in 2015 on all those counts so I am in maintenance mode. I have to admit I gave up on trying to lose another few pounds (which would've been ideal) because my body seems to have some weird aversion to doing it....in other words regardless of what I do I am stuck in the same range .... I am a snacker too, Jablea... So, I keep only "healthy" snacks at home, but even those can add up to plenty of calories - I do try and literally count how many of those raw almonds I grab (Oh, Adam has them in his rider!), but my real challenge are apples (of all things). I think I can eat five a day easily... The tour is a great time to start (or continue) dancing - I play YTs on TV and dance! If you can - DO IT! Sometimes I try and mimic Adam's moves (and some of his moves are quite tricky;) ) - I wonder how many calories he exerts during a 90 mins concert! I wish all of you to achieve your goals and stay healthy and happy! Stealing chapf's brilliant post because it is sooooo charming :

It's been a struggle but I am down .5 lbs this week. It's hard to break those bad food habits from the holidays. Trying to get to the gym more, too.

Hi nica575, :waves:
Well I am the same exact weight as I was a year ago which is the same I was back when we started these threads. So if nothing else I'm staying steady which is good because I had been putting on several pounds a year after my DS was born 16 years ago. The first year of the thread I lost 6 pounds and kept it off for like three years and then gained it back year before last when I had a little crisis.
Scares me to put my weight down so I'll probably be back later to edit this out lol. But I am at 221 and 5'8". Down approx 1 since last week since I don't have a new fangled scale that does half pounds.

Hi Everyone........thanks to Jablea for this thread and also the reminder to return.
I managed through sheer discipline and diligently recording my daily food intake to shed 30lbs last year. However, like nica575, I too seem to be stuck now between 132-135lbs. My goal is to at least maintain my current weight and to gain more muscle tone. I have had bad knees for a number years and the weight lose has really helped with increasing my mobility and decreasing my pain. One incentive for me has been....... new clothes which are 3 sizes smaller than I was wearing. The day I bought a pair of size 4 jeans felt so good. Another goal this year...... is to clean out my closets where my clothes range now from size 12 to size 4. I really need to get rid of my bigger clothes. A friend got a Fitbit for Christmas and she has been sharing her results with me.......I think I would like to get one too so I can track my activity. I know that it would motivate me to exercise and simply to walk more.
Happy New Year and good luck to everyone in reaching their goals!

Hi ! I am down a half pound Not a huge start but I did make a couple small changes. Apple Watch tracks approx calories burned, and reminds me every hour to get up and move. That helped with muscle stiffness during work. I also started having lemon water in the am. It's supposed to help detox. I cut down the sugar treats, that were causing cravings all holiday season. (That was hard.. I think I was having chocolate withdrawal, lol. Is that a thing ? I hope the small changes spark some weight loss. Monday' I start working from home so I can use my lunch hour for some exercise. Ironically, my work opened a brand new free gym in the building this week too, but I won't be there... Have a healthy week everyone ! I love hearing what everyone is doing. Great to share tips too. Keep dancing !

I'll post a reminder on tomorrows main thread. Hopefully won't get too lost in the ticket angst.
Me I'm up 2. Feel like I'm stress eating but not major stress other than deciding what health care plan to get or not eating lunch when I'm subbing at school and then starved when I get home. And a lot of it is being the "cleaner" even though I should let my hubby do that.
Need to go to the store and get some apples. I know nica575, you think you eat too many but I need to eat more.
