Hi, I'm Rihannsu and I'm calling last year my Retrograde year. LOL I went backwards but plan on shifting back to forward in 2016 both fitness and budget wise. As always my one and only hard and fast commitment for the year is to absolutely track everything. I use MyFitnesspal and Fitbit for the body and YNAB (You Need A Budget) for finances. Starting out the year at 137.2 lbs which is about 10 lbs more than I'd like but a far cry from Dec 2012 where I started at 182 lbs.
I need to work on toning and knee issues this year.
Hi! I'm stardust and I have to admit this has been a difficult year. I managed to lose 10 lbs and then in Nov and Dec stressed out and gained it all back!! So hard to get back on track, but I'm not giving up!

Happy * New Year !! Thanks for hosting this again, Jablea On the 11th, I start working from home. I will be managing a group of phone reps (who are also virtual). I've worked for a large cable/internet/phone/ home sec provider for 18 years but always in office. I am so excited. I' ll save about two hours a day in getting ready and commuting, not to mention a ton of stress ! Plus, I can eat healthier at home. We are so busy, I eat too much fast food on the run, in the office. I plan to take my puppy Sofia. (German Shepard/ border mix) for a quick walk during my lunch hour. With my laptop, IPhone and Apple Watch, as my office, I am free to work inside or outside. I will be traveling once a month to reps home office - They are in my area and an awesome group of long time employees. So, with a milestone B'day coming up, and an Adam tour, I need to get healthier, and fit. My goal is to lose about 30lbs or a couple sizes, whichever comes first. And to have more energy, and reduce diabetes meds too. Looking forward to a great 2016!
Hello everyone, I'm back too this year. After losing 50 lbs in 2014, I put close to half of that back on in 2015. Can kick myself for letting things go like that again, so as of January 4th I'm trying to get on track again to lose what I put back on. Unfortunately in a week we're off to Vegas for a week, so not great conditions to watch my weight, but I'll be trying hard between now and then and definitely when we return and will do my best to watch it while we're away. I have a horrible sweet tooth, especially for milk chocolate and the only way it's going to work for me is not to have any. Can't seem to just have a tiny bit.
Thanks for starting this up again Jablea!
I am like a tree, from my top bough I can see the footsteps that led up to me
Well we are all back and chapf has turned the lights on in the workout studio for us. I know several of our members are traveling but everyone who is available it's check in day. Oh and did you know that this year is a Leap Year? If only I could still leap in actuality.
Hi, everyone! I've been away from this thread for a while, mainly because I had nothing to report.
My goal for the year is my usual " keep up exercising and eating healthy and gain neither weight nor cholesterol but some muscles". I did pretty well in 2015 on all those counts so I am in maintenance mode. I have to admit I gave up on trying to lose another few pounds (which would've been ideal) because my body seems to have some weird aversion to doing it....in other words regardless of what I do I am stuck in the same range ....
I am a snacker too, Jablea... So, I keep only "healthy" snacks at home, but even those can add up to plenty of calories - I do try and literally count how many of those raw almonds I grab (Oh, Adam has them in his rider!), but my real challenge are apples (of all things). I think I can eat five a day easily...
The tour is a great time to start (or continue) dancing - I play YTs on TV and dance! If you can - DO IT! Sometimes I try and mimic Adam's moves (and some of his moves are quite tricky;) ) - I wonder how many calories he exerts during a 90 mins concert!
I wish all of you to achieve your goals and stay healthy and happy!
Stealing chapf's brilliant post because it is sooooo charming :

Well I am the same exact weight as I was a year ago which is the same I was back when we started these threads. So if nothing else I'm staying steady which is good because I had been putting on several pounds a year after my DS was born 16 years ago. The first year of the thread I lost 6 pounds and kept it off for like three years and then gained it back year before last when I had a little crisis.
Scares me to put my weight down so I'll probably be back later to edit this out lol. But I am at 221 and 5'8". Down approx 1 since last week since I don't have a new fangled scale that does half pounds.
Hi Everyone........thanks to Jablea for this thread and also the reminder to return.
I managed through sheer discipline and diligently recording my daily food intake to shed 30lbs last year. However, like nica575, I too seem to be stuck now between 132-135lbs. My goal is to at least maintain my current weight and to gain more muscle tone. I have had bad knees for a number years and the weight lose has really helped with increasing my mobility and decreasing my pain. One incentive for me has been....... new clothes which are 3 sizes smaller than I was wearing. The day I bought a pair of size 4 jeans felt so good. Another goal this year...... is to clean out my closets where my clothes range now from size 12 to size 4. I really need to get rid of my bigger clothes. A friend got a Fitbit for Christmas and she has been sharing her results with me.......I think I would like to get one too so I can track my activity. I know that it would motivate me to exercise and simply to walk more.
Happy New Year and good luck to everyone in reaching their goals!
