Ugh! Up another 1/2 lb. My fault. Eating everything in sight. Still have nasty cold hanging on and just don't feel like cooking at all. Old age catching up to me!!!

I forgot to post. I was down but only due to the fact that last week was a peak in my yo-yo cycle. I was up from the previous days because Monday I went to Universal to get my annual pass and even though I put in my 10,000 steps I ate at Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. Then Tuesday my roommates and I went to see Deadpool and between eating out an movie popcorn I was way over my numbers in addition to the high salt content late night followed by only about 4 hours sleep.

Hi All, I have been walkabout again....couple of weeks with no/little Internet......have seen nothing of the US tour so looking forward to catching up tonight. Also - Haven't weighed myself since Feb 17!! Yikes! Am writing this while trying to guess what my weight will be when I weigh in the morning....nervous. I've eaten a lot of lovely restaurant meals - but on the other hand, I've not grazed continually (been too busy) or pigged out on chocolate........ : So - Really don't know......yikes! A demain......

Screwed up all my courage and got on the scales. Can't believe that I am down - albeit only .4 of a pound.....but I was dreading being up. I think that, although I ate lots on my travels, I didn't have my ready access to constant chocolate, biscuits, cake etc, that I eat from habit as much as anything. So three weeks without really losing but no gain, so not at all disheartened..... Revising my aimed for weight loss before QAL Italy - Still hoping for a pound a week but just not as many weeks left!! Come on, gang......we need to get this thing going! We can do it....we can do it.... edit: I am starting again on the 5:2 plan which has seemed to work for friends. Sensible, eating for five days - plenty of 'normal' food, no need to be hungry but no cakes/sweets etc, then two days on only 500 calories each! I did this a couple of times before I went away again and found it quite easy. 500 calorie eating (my version) strawbs/ blueberries/spoonful low-fat natural yoghurt for breakfast (as late in day as poss - makes day easier. Ham and big salad of lettuce, cucumber, shredded carrot, green pepper/spoon of 'lightest' mayonnaise ( no coleslaw or potato salad type salads of course) for late lunch homemade vegetable soup (onions, carrots, cauliflower, courgettes, whatever but no potato type stuff - left chumkey) plus a veg stock cube, water/salt/black pepper...... And a quarter of a slice Of bread..... Black tea/coffee......lots of water to drink, no fruit juices. Anyone else going to try? We could coordinate days and be our own official 'Atop 5:2 Trial Group'.....

Welp, I seem to have increased my normal weight that I fluctuate around by two pounds. SophieB, I'd love to join you but I can't get one day of sensible eating in. Damn, damn. I'm hoping now that I restocked my gum supply to cut some of the not hungry just need something cravings. grr.

I'm happy to say that I'm down a pound, but it wasn't easy. Struggling with evening eating. Will try making a big salad to munch on all PM.

Jablea....awww - I know how you feel. It's so difficult....
I've only done the 5:2 thing for three weeks; I'm no expert and I don't know how effective it will be so I don't mean to sound smug in any way - but the good thing is that I managed it but never on the days I planned!
I start off the day with good intentions and when I ruin it, I just postpone the 500 calorie day.....and then postpone it again until I get a very busy day and am distracted in some way.
So it makes me feel like it's ok to mess up a bit; no worries.....because I tell myself that i still have another chance to make it this week.....
Whereas 'dieting' EVERY day makes me feel like I've 'failed' most days...
Does that make sense?

Well, I'm a bit early for this week but missed last week. Happy to say that I'm down 3 lbs!! . Nothing like getting sick to make you lose weight. That combined with jury duty has worked a miracle. Struggling to eat better but just feel exhausted all the time and haven't been to the gym for a while. This is a really nasty cold virus!! Still feeling crappy after 2 weeks. Ugh! Hope you all are doing well!! That's my first positive thought once I realize I'm getting sick...lol... after 3 days of fever and 5 days of no appetite what so ever and eating literally nothing (just lots of tea with honey) I am happy to report that I lost a couple of pounds... not sure how much as I stopped weighing myself a few months ago...trying to milk the lack of appetite for as long as possible...may be i'll break the damn 130lbs ...this morning I was 130.0! It's like my body decided it will never get below that "magic" number...ugh...

Sorry Nica and Stardust that you've been ill but every cloud...... Nica..... You look amazing. 130lbs is an impossible dream for me now. I weighed 120 the day I got married and 145 the day before I had my first child.... Today I weigh 166 lbs all on my own!
