I am probably the only person in the world who is not impressed at all... I tried... can't even make myself listen until the end... I think it is time for me to stop all the extraneous attempts and just scroll until I find Adam - he never fails me There's two of us who feel like this, Nica. I never got the Adele praise before either. When everyone kept going on and on about how good of a voice she has, I really didn't hear it. I've listened to Rolling in the Deep, and the studio version of Someone Like You, and didn't see it, but for me I tend to mainly base my opinion on someones' voice base off their live performances, and if they can't sing live, I generally don't tend to like them. But when Adam said that SLY was his favorite song on her album, I wasn't too impressed, I just happened to listen to this live version, and was instantly blown away, turned me over from being a non-fan to a fan.

Sweeeeeeeet! I just got me a ticket to see Adele at UC Berkeley's Greek Theater on Saturday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Squeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D So looking forward to that! ETA - Any other Atop's going? I'm gonna try and go to this concert too, but it seems to be sold out, and prices seem to be too high for me on the alternative sites. Not Adam so not willing to pay over $100 for the show.

There is a cry in Adele's voice, that reaches in and grabs you. The stress in her voice to me is a rawness, a beautiful rawness. I feel so much emotion when she sings. Sometimes it actually hurts my heart and head and brings me to tears. This is rare for me. I often feel emotion but am rarely brought to tears. She wakes and thaws the pieces of the soul that are frozen or tucked away. Same here!, but only for that one performance tho

Readon and Skylar: Thank you both for your comments. I am pleased that you found the program interesting. Curious..... since y'all now know what my voice sounds like, were you surprised? Did it match what you pictured? Loved hearing all the Adam talk, Cassie, and you were wonderful. Did you have a script or outline of what to talk about or was this all done on the spot? You are what I pictured. A very knowledgeable lady. However, with not much of an accent being from Atlanta! Nope. No script. (Obviously at some points. :D) Angelina had the basic outline written down, and she sent them to me. For the first part, talking about sign language, I noted down a few talking points, so I wouldn't forget what I wanted to say. For the portion where she talks about the aspects of the performance that make for masterful communication, I didn't know what I would say in response until I heard her. Of course, as she was delineating each point mentally I was picturing Adam doing those things so effectively. I just chimed in with whatever came to mind as she was talking. Parenthetically, the comment I made about the singer on the awards show looking totally uninvolved with her performance came from comments and links on Adamtopia about (can I say it here???) Britney's recent appearance. Amazingly, the interview was done in basically one take. I think she had to stop once or twice when my dogs barked, and once when she had a technical problem. But, other than that, it really was just a conversation between two friends. As for the southern accent, I am a "damned Yankee." A Yankee is someone from the north who comes south to visit. A damned Yankee is someone who moves south and stays there. I can affect a southern accent, but, when I am talking formally, I revert back to my midwestern roots.
