If Adam had a song like this there would be fan wars about who broke his heart. Soon to be followed by a hit on the offending "ex". Adam's fanbase can be a bit protective. LOL But you see...I think Soaked as performed on the GNT was very much this same sort of song....but it never really got a wider audience. Which I have always thought was a mistake but...jmo...and it WAS a show favorite....just got no outside support whatsoever. sigh. Hi Mszue and Maria23 *waves* I so agree about Soaked. I always maintained it could have been a hit. After all it was written by Muse. |

But we do not know what the source is and if it is two steps removed. It is an unconfirmed rumor -- I'll wait for Adam to tweet about it -- or Xtina. Or at least for the tweeter at 933 to name their little bird. No one is saying it's confirmed. Obviously, it's not. This entire thing has been flailed about knowing full well it is a RUMOR. That's fine. It's what we signed on for as Adam fans. I was simply saying the attempts at rationalizing other theories were less plausible than the rumors themselves, in my opinion. The logistics don't support the idea that it was a misunderstanding regarding Adam Levine. Since we do not know who the little bird is, I am not sure that we can figure out if there was a misunderstanding or not. If it was RCA to the little bird to 933 then there was a chance for a misunderstanding. If it was NBC producer to the little bird to 933 there was a chance for a misunderstanding. Even if 933 asked someone for some Adam Lambert news -- they still should have gotten twisted info. And I am skeptical that Xtina and Adam could be in a recording studio at the same time and no one leaked it. |

Goodnight all. Gonna go to bed because Soaked wasn't one of my favorites on the album or on the tour!  Don't think radio would have ever played it and if I'm not mistaken, it's not one of the cuts with a lot of downloads either. (I'm gonna go check that right now in the numbers thread.) ETA: Yup, Soaked is the 4th lowest downloaded cut off the album. Only Loaded Smile and Pick You Up and SFW are lower. |

Happens all the time with bigger names than Adam and Christina. Gaga and Adam were in a recording studio at the same time. Was that leaked? (I don't remember.) Eh- it's a rumor sent out by a radio station that has had inside information in the past. Until Adam denies it, I'm going to continue to hope that it is true! It's an exciting rumor, unlike some of the less desirable rumors in the past. At this time, there is as much "proof" as there is "possible misunderstandings" so I'm going with the dream collaboration for Adam! Adam has been pretty reliable about shooting down rumors on twitter, so he will probably send a denial out if the collaboration isn't true.

I still contend that 933 knows the difference between Adam Lambert and Adam Levine. And they were attending a sneak preview by RCA for its upcoming material. Maybe the janitor said something and they bought it. Who knows. I just rather doubt the 933 people started in the business yesterday. And if they did, well, the first thing they need to learn to do is backpedal and delete tweets when they leak shit with no substantiation. |

yes of course, one can ask. But honestly, I have no desire to learn the shortened versions of the words these things stand for. Perhaps it's because I'm a little OCD about trying to use proper grammar and spelling, even online, that all the acronyms drive me batty; to me they just seem like laziness. I type in full sentences even on text and twitter whenever possible LOL... JMO and I can just scroll when they are used, it's what I usually do anyway. When it becomes more about scrolling then actually reading here I'll go elsewhere for my Adam news/information. I'm one person and since I seem to be the only one it bothers no need to change anything on my behalf. ;D *snort* there are commonly used acronyms that everyone and their dog knows and then there are random, odd acronyms pulled from what appears to be thin air that unless it's explained you'd have no way of guessing... The funny thing is I'm hardly a noob when it comes to the internet or message boards but I don't generally post on fan specific boards. I tend to steer towards more open/general boards and the ones I post on don't use a lot of acronyms honestly because something gets lost in translation and these people want to be clear what they are saying. When I followed that link the other day to FYE I couldn't understand half of what they were saying to be honest because everything is shorthanded and it's like an entirely different language over there. so odd. maybe I'm the lazy one who refuses to learn this new "language" *shrug* |

Twitter Confusion II Based on nothing but today's ATop, I'm betting on Adam Levine/XTina. Or could be all 4 judges, again. I'm mostly wrong, though. But the radio station specifically said Adam Lambert. They used the last name. :-/ My opinion/guess isn't worth much on this subject, but we don't actually know what the radio station was told. |
