Happens all the time to bigger names than Adam and Christina. Gaga and Adam were in a recording studio at the same time. Was that leaked? Eh- it's a rumor sent out by a radio station that has proven itself to have inside information in the past. Until Adam denies it, I'm going to continue to hope that it is true! It's an exciting rumor, unlike some of the less desirable rumors in the past. At this time, there is as much "proof" as "possible misunderstandings" so I'm going with the dream collaboration for Adam!  Your post and reasoning makes perfect sense to me. |

Goodnight all. Gonna go to bed because Soaked wasn't one of my favorites on the album or on the tour!  Don't think radio would have ever played it and if I'm not mistaken, it's not one of the cuts with a lot of downloads either. (I'm gonna go check that right now in the numbers thread.) ETA: Yup, Soaked is the 3rd lowest downloaded cut off the album. Only Loaded Smile and Pick You Up are lower.  I don't even know who you are anymore ...   I will never not  on "Soaked," both studio and especially life. Love "Broken Open" too, but "Soaked" has me at a soul level.  |

But you see...I think Soaked as performed on the GNT was very much this same sort of song....but it never really got a wider audience. Which I have always thought was a mistake but...jmo...and it WAS a show favorite....just got no outside support whatsoever. sigh. Hi Mszue and Maria23 *waves* I so agree about Soaked. I always maintained it could have been a hit. After all it was written by Muse. It really doesn't look like Soaked was a great potential single. I this if you loved Soaked, you bought the album or 6 albums. Usually songs that are potential hits have strong track sales -- and Soaked does not. It also doesn't fit any radio genre. Sales units by track -- through 5/19/11. When I followed that link the other day to FYE I couldn't understand half of what they were saying to be honest because everything is shorthanded and it's like an entirely different language over there. so odd. maybe I'm the lazy one who refuses to learn this new "language" *shrug* FYE is a whole different world. I enjoy reading over there sometimes because it's interesting to see what Adam's younger fans are saying. They do have their own language, but I don't look at it as odd. It is probably a way to keep the older fans from feeling comfortable enough to join in. ;D I can't say that I blame them. The younger fans probably need a place of their own. |

Adam has been pretty reliable about shooting down rumors on twitter, so he will probably send a denial out if the collaboration isn't true. Yes, we not only knew that Adam and Lady Gaga were in the studio together, we knew who the studio musicians were for the session. (Two members of Paul McCartney's Touring Band.) There were many reports about the Sia-Adam recording session and if Xtina was there, she would have been noticed. It is possible that they could do a studio duet without ever even meeting. I wish Adam would just tweet about this.One thing that makes me think it could be true is that he said he wanted to do it so many times that the universe must have answered by now. Plus, it would be good for RCA and they are both signed to RCA. ETA: 933 has gotten some info right but Kris and Jive have both confirmed that they have not picked his single yet -- so they got that wrong today. |

Go check the thread at MJs- there have been a couple of other comments about the new song from other djs who were also at the at the New York meeting. I would bring the info over, but this isn't a KA fan board. I am also waiting on a tweet from Adam! He will probably confirm or deny the rumor soon enough! |
