:-[ Me too. Record stores and book store were truly magical places. Especially the used ones where everything was cheap and you wondered around until something "spoke" to you, or an album cover made you laugh so you bought it without listening. The store clerks were a wealth of knowledge, almost like a sacred position passing on their secrets to those with the desire to learn, be moved, needed a laugh. I'm reminded of a quote from Black Elk, a Shaman who told the story of his life from the time before anyone had seen a white man and up to the point where they are all living in square houses on a reservation and he's now old and sad remembering when they lived like nature intended, in a circle. " Others came, too, and we made these little gray houses of logs that you see, and they are square. It is a bad way to live, for there can be no power in a square. [/b]" That's how I feel about the move to the computer to find our entertainment. There can be no power in this electronic box. But I realize I'm a hypocrite because that's how I found Adam. 8-) As Gilda Radner's hard of hearing character would sat...Nevermind. ;D Good night all.[/quote]

Yeah, I miss real record stores too! They were a part of my life as well. I can remember one of my gay friends from the nightclub we all hung out at worked in a record store and I would always go straight to Conrad and say 'whatcha got for me?'. I mean, he was ON to it. He knew I loved the lady singers - not necessarily the divas with the big riffs/runs, but who could entwine you in magic *le sigh*
This lady was one recommendation he gave me and I have four of her albums (yup vinyl and CD's). She was a George Benson protegee I believe.
Randy Crawford live...
Imagine Adam putting his spin on it and doing this one *deadz*
(so very sadly Conrad went years ago - a victim to Aids)

LOL, MTV Greece writes about the possible duet.I love it that they show more Adam, more often than the past. www.mtvgreece.gr/article/moysika-nea/o-adam-lambert-se-ntoyeto-me-tin-christina-aguilera/10622Here is the translation I did : A mysterious tweet from 93.3 radio station towards the Idolator site about a possible collaboration of Glambert and Xtina caused panic in the fan base of both stars. The message said “It¢s not confirmed yet, but a bird told us that Adam Lambert has just recorded some songs with Christina Aguilera.” A collaboration like this one, is not impossible to happen, since Adam Lambert is in the studio with songwriter Sia Furler who wrote songs for the “Bionic” album and the soundtrack of “Burlesque” What good connections do………. Here is a rare unplugged video of Adam Lambert This link goes to the “Broken Open” VH1 unplugged version. I listened to it once again and I loved it.

I'm so happy you enjoyed my vid Gelly I've loved this lady since the late seventies. Here's just one of my other favourites of hers - and she mentions GREECE ;D Both these tracks played loud on a good stereo are chill inducing - just like Adam. Oh fuck, and then there's this one too : And of course to stay on topic and before Q3 raps my knuckles there is him... Cheers...

Hmmmm....... @ala4adam: @siamusic I have a feeling we are gonna hear that song u wrote for Adam and Xtina real soon......crossing fingers. @siamusic: adam and xtina are not working together. i am working with both of them separately. i haven't even started with xtina yet. kay? If the rumor about the duet is true and RCA/Adam/Xtina hasn't denied it yet, the song could have been written by anybody. I doubt Sia knows everything that Adam has worked on for the new album. It was just assumed it was a Sia song since Adam recently worked with Sia and Sia is currently on the Voice with Christina. Linda Perry has written songs for both Adam & Christina Aguilera, the song could have been written by anybody at this point for all We know.

Linda Perry has written songs for both Adam & Christina Aguilera, the song could have been written by anybody at this point for all We know. The thing is, Sia could have just said she didn't write any song for Christina and Adam - she didn't have to add that they weren't working together at all. It's true that there wouldn't be any reason for her to know about all of Adam's songs, but she's currently working with Christina and would probably know if Christina recorded a song with Adam. If 93.3 got it wrong, they owe both Adam's and Christina's fanbases a big apology. A lot of folks got very excited at the prospect of that collaboration. Despite my best efforts, I was one of them. >:(

You're right about being angry but in this tweet Sia said that she hasn't even started working with Christina yet, so how could she know about other collabs Christina probably had? I say let's wait. :D
